Your rant contains an egregious lie

I kept thinking, where were all of you during the mid-terms? Obviously you did not go out to vote during the mid-terms

This is a lie, and I wish the DINOs would stop repeating it. Maybe over at Fox Nation it would fit in. The ones who didn't go to the polls in 2010 were the "Independents", whoever they are. the polling made this fact quite clear, and I personally don't know a single liberal who didn't vote in 2010. So the entire premise of this vanity post is bullshit. If I had to guess, the indys stayed home because in 2008 they were told to expect changes if Obama got elected, but instead, with solid Dem majorities in the House and Senate, almost nothing changed. Gitmo stayed open. Torture continued. Iraq dragged on. Afghanistan dragged on. We got insurance mandates instead of health care. The Bush tax cuts were extended. None of the banksters were prosecuted. No one from the Bush administration was prosecuted. Don Siegelman is still in prison. Pot smokers were hounded. And, finally, the president appeared weak by never challenging the Repukes who were soundly rebuked at the polls.

If you want the party to be unified, you should try to get the president to represent the whole party, not just the Wall Street branch. Check bvar22's tidy list of issues that could be addressed as a bone to the "far left".

Frankly you sound like a troll, and I don't think you'll miss DU that much, and vice-versa.

$500,000 payout to charter principal sparks outrage, call for probe

Not surprisingly in FL, governed by convicted fraudster Rick Scott. Wanna bet this principal is a political crony?

The principal of a failed Orange County charter school took home a check for more than $500,000 as the school closed down in June and is still being paid thousands of dollars a month to wrap up the school's affairs.

The check for $519,453.36 in taxpayer money was cut to Kelly Young, principal of NorthStar High School, two days after the Orange County School Board accepted the school's plan to close in lieu of being shut down for poor performance.

Check out this part:

Young's payout was based on a contract that called for her to be paid about $305,000 per year through 2014, even though the school's contract was up for renewal in 2012. She was paid 85 percent of her remaining contract.

Her yearly pay and bonuses to run the school, which served about 180 largely at-risk students in east Orange County, was higher than that of Barbara Jenkins, superintendent of the 181,000-student Orange County Public Schools.

The highest-paid principal at a traditional Orange school this year made $116,565.

I am waiting for one person in Big Media to point out to Ryan

1. Your ancestors in the 1800's got rich off of public works projects
2. You received Social Security to go to college
3. You have, your entire adult life, lived off of taxpayer dollars
4. You voted for every single one of Bush's budget-busting initiatives

How dare you denigrate the government, you miserable hypocrite

Should the president & Dems come out indisputably against benefit cuts?

Now running against SS recipient who outspokenly wants to destroy SS. Should Obama (and other Dems) go on the record against any benefit cuts (since both programs are healthy and desperately needed)? Or should they avoid the discussion like they always do?

Like most Limbeciles, you've got it backward

Your problem is not the poor taking some subsistence from the pittance you pay in taxes. Your problem is that your employer doesn't pay you enough for your hard work to feed your family.

Also, the taxes of others pay for the roads you use to get to your slave-like job, the clean water that comes from your tap, the schools you attended (though you seem to have gotten little from them), the FDA that makes sure the medicine you take for your paranoid delusions is safe, and so on. You get back way more than you pay

Finally, believing what you hear on Hate Radio and Fox "News" is a mental illness. If your job affords you health insurance, you should take advantage of it and try to re-initiate contact with reality.

When Big Media tells the campaign they shouldn't be attacking...

Here's what I would respond:

"Well, David (Gregory), unfortunately for us, the president, unlike Candidate Rmoney, doesn't own 1000 radio stations broadcasting throughout the country 24/7. If we had millions of watts of free propaganda running constantly like the governor does, our campaign would be much easier."
