All spending bills originate in the Congress.

But what if the Congress doesn't want to be accused of spending money on certain programs and do not wish to pass a budget?

What do they then do?

They threaten to shut down the government unless the Democrats submit their spending cuts.

Then they can blame the Democrats for the budget and any spending cuts.

How convenient.

The Investigator of the Investigation should be Investigated

John Durham was a US Attorney and he had to do what his boss (Attorney General Bill Barr) told him to do or else.

Bill Barr was the US Attorney General but he thought he was Donald Trump's attorney and he had to do what Trump wanted or else.

Trump wanted a distraction from his Russian connections, and they were proven during the Mueller investigation, and he wanted Bill Barr to do the dirty work.

No problem. That was right down Bill Barr's alley. He would get a US Attorney Durham to do the job.

Four years later, he comes forward with his report. As far as we know, he makes no mention of the Italian government giving him intelligence on financial crimes by Donald Trump. Bill Barr has said nothing about it either.

Also, he made no mention of why he was asked to investigate the Mueller investigation or Hillary's "crimes" during the 2016 election cycle? Now he comes forward and blames the FBI and the CIA for not doing their jobs, or doing a very shabby job.

Jim Jordan has stated that he intends to call Durham before his Committee. He should. And so should the Senate Intelligence Committee, run by the Democrats. They need to know what the financial crimes were that the Italians told Barr and Durham that Trump was guilty of committing.

There needs to be an investigation of Investigator Durham and former AG Bill Barr.

Hello in There

Trump lies out of necessity.

Because he has to lie to cover for his previous lies.

His lies are like a house of cards.

For example, when he says that January 6th was a "beautiful day", he has to lie to cover for his previous lies about why it happened? He has built one lie upon another until we have reached this point. When he lied about why he invited the violent rioters to the Capitol on January 6th, he always needed another lie to cover for them.

When he says that he had the absolute right to take documents out of the White House and to his mansion in Mar-a-Lago, it is the continuing lie to cover the fact that he stole top secret documents. When he says that everybody did it, but in a worse way, he is covering his lies.

When he says that the election was rigged, it is a lie to cover the previous lies about stolen votes, and the lie that he won the election by a landslide.

He has no choice but to lie because everything he has said in the past is a lie and the only thing that can protect those lies is another lie.

He is a serial liar and if he told the truth just once, his entire house of cards would come crumbling down.

We need leaders that will rid our country of the corruption.

Beginning with the dirty money in our political system. There has to be campaign finance reform.

The Ethics Committees in our House and Senate need to have more teeth. They need to take honesty and ethics seriously.

As much as I hate to admit it, but we need term limits, especially for Supreme Court Justices. Corruption grows when it is not challenged.

Also, we need a return to patriotism. We need to respect our country and what we have fought and died for. Political Parties should never replace loyalty to our country.

We need a more fair system of progressive taxation. With the advent of new technology and instant billionaires, we need to think anew about how we distribute wealth for the benefit of all, rather than in the hands of a few.

We need to shrink government bureaucracies, such as the military industrial complex. We need to rid ourselves of waste and fraud in our government spending programs.

Most of all, we need leaders that are willing to stand up and tell people the truth.

The lies that are acceptable.

I had an absolute right to take what I took. Joe Biden took 1,852 boxes. I did nothing wrong.

It was a perfect phone call. I could stop the war in 24 hours. Putin would never have invaded if I had been the president.

It was a beautiful day. Those people were patriots. Mike Pence should have done the right thing. I offered Nancy Pelosi 10,000 troops to guard the Capitol but she turned it down.

Joe Biden and his crime family took millions of dollars from the Chinese. We had the best economy ever when I was president.

When I looked at the documents, they automatically were de-classified. When they broke into my home, they would never have done that to any other president.

She's a whack job. They are all lying.

Do you feel like sometimes you are talking to a stump?

It is futile to try and debate some people?

No amount of logic or reason can penetrate their shield?

There must be another way, other than unconditional surrender?

Are we searching for another way to communicate?

Is there nothing we can do to change the course of history?

As an Arab leader told Lawrence, in Lawrence of Arabia, it is written?

Or do we put our faith in the common sense of the American people?

How many Republicans support the January 6th insurrection?

Trump tells them it was "a beautiful day", but do they believe him?

He needs them to believe him. He cannot afford to lose any of his base of voters.

Luckily for him, the election of 2020 was over when he announced his big rally for January 6th, 2021. He lost big before the insurrection ever happened. It cannot possibly help him in the next election.

That is why he needs to convince many Republicans that it was no big deal. Most of the Republicans in Congress are with him already. But they have their reasons. They need Trump's base to remain in power.

That is why he promises to pardon all the criminals that attacked our Capitol that day. He wants very much to minimize the seriousness of the attempted coup.

He hopes they will buy his bullshit once again.

Otherwise, it could be a Republican bloodbath.

CNN and Kaitlin Collins are like the blind squirrel that found an acorn.

Amidst the wreckage of what was billed as a "townhall", Collins may have uncovered some valuable information for the Mar-a-Lago documents investigation?

When Collins asked Trump if he had ever shown the secrets to anyone else, he did not have a canned response. He had to pivot and try to answer in a way that did not incriminate him. "Not as far as I know", he said. That is not a usual response for him. It raised suspicions that maybe he had shown the secrets to others?

His defense for taking the documents to Mar-a-Lago was weak and ineffective. He said he had the "absolute" right to do whatever he wanted with them. It is very doubtful that excuse would ever fly in a courtroom.

Notwithstanding all the criticism Collins and CNN have received since the debacle, Trump spilled the beans on a couple of important questions. Perhaps all is not lost?
