An immediate impeachment vote OR a full no-time-limit investigation ?

Considering the circumstances , knowing that the Senate would never convict, it is my opinion that the Democrats should investigate right up to and thru the election, depending on the outcome of the election. So long as there are no charges filed, he cannot ask for a pardon.

First of all, get at least 218 Democrats to vote for an official Impeachment investigation. Not an impeachment, an investigation.

Secondly, call witnesses before the Committee continuously and keep Donald Trump on the defensive. Do not feel that there is a time limit where you must finish. Why send it over to the Senate if they are just going to shoot it down?

In fact, keep the investigation going right up to election day, unless Republicans show that they are serious about impeachment. The goal of the Democrats should not be to impeach but to get out all the facts and educate the voters. Destroy him with a thousand slices.

Pull a Mitch McConnell ! Refuse to take a vote. Keep investigating right thru election day.

Then, after the election is over, if Donald Trump loses, then Hurrah! If he keeps the White House and the Democrats keep the House, then they just continue the impeachment process in the new Congress.

Finally, after all the investigations and all the facts have come out, impeach his sorry ass!

That would be the best time line, in my opinion.

Trump riffs on lies like a jazz guitarist riffs on the blues ...

The wise person would never believe anything he says.

He lies about everything . Even when the truth would serve him better .

He lies to cover-up . He lies to distract . He lies to make himself look better. He lies to put the blame on others . He lies for personal gain . He lies to impress people. He lies all of the time .

He's a bullshit artist extraordinaire .

A wise person would not believe what he is now saying about the Ukraine phone call.

If Donald Trump admits that he talked about Joe Biden with a foreign leader?

You can take it to the bank that there is another story that is even worse that he does not want to go public. What might it be?

If this is the case, the DNI will not disclose what is in the whistleblower complaint, when he appears before the Oversight Committee this Thursday. He will claim "executive privilege".

There is a much bigger story that he wants to conceal if he is trying to divert attention by admitting that he discussed his possible political opponent with a foreign leader.

As they say, the devil is in the details. There is much more that Donald Trump is not telling. Bet on it.

If Mr Trump fails to turn over the whistleblower transcript to Congress in the next few days...

...then that would be another obstruction of justice charge. A very clear charge of obstruction of justice.

Just put it on the list...

It's time for the Democratic caucus to vote for full-fledged investigation?

The Democrats should meet behind closed doors and take a vote.

If they can get 218 votes for a full investigation, it should go to the floor for a vote from the full Congress. I think this is something Speaker Pelosi would agree with? She would not disagree with such a vote from her caucus.

This is a step that should be taken before asking for a vote on Articles of Impeachment. It is a process that must be followed.

First of all, a vote from the full Congress will carry much more weight in the Courts than a vote from just the House Judiciary Committee.

Perhaps a vote for a full investigation will be an easier vote than a vote for Articles of Impeachment?

It's time for them to make a decision.

I have written elsewhere about a timeline that could be followed as a political strategy.

The conversation with the Ukraine president "was perfect" - "a perfect ten"..?

Trump seemed to be almost obsessed with getting his spin on the conversation with the Ukrainian leader?

He spoke several times about Biden and his "son"... One wondered if he may have been thinking of his own son? He used the phrase several times.

But, Mr Trump can enlighten us all, if he wishes? He can turn over the tape and transcript of the whistle blower to our House Intel Committee, just as the law dictates? Is that so hard to do?

When asked about Iran, he said he would only do what was in the best interests of America and our "allies". Allies?? After he has pissed all over our allies, he wants them to go into Saudi Arabia and Iran to protect the Prince and his Kingdom?

Oh, what a tangled web we weave...

We may be looking at the biggest scandal in American history.

That would be 243 years.

An entire political Party may have been corrupted.

All branches of our government have been challenged.

Nothing else even comes close.

We need to understand the magnitude of what we are experiencing.
