I'm Moving On

April 16, 2019

I think Hope Hicks is the person the White House is fearful about in the Mueller Report.

She admitted she told "white lies" for Mr Trump. What else did she tell Mr Mueller? Will her information be scrubbed from Mueller's Report?

If not, she could tell a lot. She was on the plane when Mr Trump dictated a lie for Don Jr to tell about the Trump Tower meeting.

Although they are saying they fear Don McGahn, perhaps they should fear Hope Hicks?

She has been working as the Communications Chief at FOX.

How much does she know and how much did she tell? And how much will AG Barr let go in the Report?

The media seems intent on "normalizing" this corrupt and narcissistic dictator wannabe.

Not all of them, but many appear to have convinced themselves that this is just "politics". They are willing to overlook all warning signs and evidence of criminality. Perhaps they are just exhausted?

Well, we are all exhausted. America is exhausted.

The latest example that I have noticed is how many are reporting that this is not an issue that the American people are interested in. They cite polls as proof that they are reporting the "right news".

Also, they say that voters are only interested in healthcare, jobs, trade, etc. And those are all very important issues, but they cannot be swapped off in a trade for our democracy.

That is not the role of the media, to report what the average citizen is or is not interested in. They should report news that the people need to know. Journalists are not janitors. We expect them to report information that people need to know, not just what they want to know.

Groundhog Year

Where will we be a year from now?

Will we have seen Donald Trump's tax returns?

Will we have seen the Mueller Report in its entirety?

Will we have gone thru impeachment process?

Will Donald Trump still be thumbing his nose at our laws and institutions?

Will Democrats have a favorite candidate?

Will we be in virtually the same place we are today?

The legacy of William Barr will remain intact.

His legacy was that when the Republicans were in a bind, they could depend on Bill Barr to fix it. He was the ultimate "fixer". He was able to fix the Iran-Contra scandal with Caspar Weinberger and the George HW Bush crowd. He managed to do it on a Christmas Eve.

When Donald Trump and his traitorous Republican supporters got caught holding hands with the Russians and making money on the sly, who did they call? The "Fixer".

His legacy and reputation were well-known before he volunteered to help get their nuts out of the fire. He was proud to be a partisan Republican. He would do whatever necessary to keep Party order.

It didn't matter to him if laws were broken. It didn't matter if our national security was threatened. He had only one job. That was to save Donald Trump. Declare him exonerated and hide all the evidence that would indicate otherwise.

He is no patriot. He never was a patriot. He is a fixer. He was always the fixer.

Did Rudy Giuliani get the full Mueller Report or the redacted version?

It is being reported that he already has 140 pages of rebuttals already typed up, but wants to narrow it down to 50 pages.

Did he get all the Grand Jury information in the Mueller Report? It's too bad the Congress is not deserving of the same information as Rudy Giuliani, if that is the case? I suspect it probably is?

It would be nice if someone could get their hands on a copy of an unredacted version of the Mueller Report...

Also, the Trump White House is probably in no hurry to let Rosenstein or Mueller get back to the privatge sector. At the present time, they are still part of the Justice Department and are subject to executvie privilege claims if it is necessary? We might expect them to stay with the Dept a little longer?

I truly believe Trump and his supporters are an existential threat to our nation.

At the present time, they are being saved by an economy that has been primed by huge taxcuts, a hot stock market, and by slashing regulations on big businesses.

In my opinion, they believe they are above the laws of this country. They are willing to lie, cheat, or steal to protect their power.

They have hired an Attorney General that is willing to do their bidding, instead of working for the American people. Everyone thought he was going to release the Mueller Record either today or in the next couple of days. Now, he announces that it will be sent to Congress, heavily redacted, as Congress is going on a two-week Easter vacation. I have little doubt but that the Trump team requested he do that as a way of delaying the process and giving them more time to sell their propaganda to the American people.

But, I also believe that our Congress and our Courts will prevail. Today, it was announced that Congress has subpoenaed records from Deutsche Bank, the official lender for Mr Trump. No doubt, Mr Trump will attempt to intercept this process, either by twisting the arms of Deutsche Bank or by taking it to Court. Just as he is very busy fighting to keep Congress from getting his tax records.

In the end, they will fail and the people and our laws will prevail. But, we are fighting a battle for the life of our democracy and it should not be minimized. They want a dictatorship, instead of a democracy. We will win this struggle.

Ballad Of a Thin Man

April 15, 2019

Do you agree that "no one is above the law"?

It appears we have moved into dictator territory?

Because it does look like the dictator is above the law.

At least, up to this point, it is fair to say that the "law" is letting one man slide.

They call him an "international businessman", but a better term may be "international criminal"?

From time to time, I switch over to FOX News to see how they are covering the news.

This morning, I wanted to see how they were covering Mayor Pete Buttigieg. They reported that he invited his husband on stage with him. But they did not report that they kissed. But I could see the direction they were going. They know their audience.

Also, they said that Rudy Giuliani already had 140 pages of response for the Mueller report but that he was going to shorten it to about 50 pages....
