Is it too much to ask for some Congressmen to take it more seriously?

It isn't about the ratings....

Well, it is and it isn't.

But, in reality, it is a very serious matter when the discussion is about removing the President of the United States from office. All should approach it with utmost thought.

For some reason, Nunes cannot seem to get out of Hollywood. He needs to get more serious about it, in my opinion. As if there was not enough disharmony already, the Republicans add Jim Jordan to the brew. Republicans need to show more respect for our laws and our Constitution.

Is it too much to ask that they get to the truth? And stop the clown show?

When all the debris is swept away...

The US Senate will have to decide whether or not Donald Trump attempted to bribe the Ukraine President by withholding funds and did he do it for political advantage?

Also, did he attempt to obstruct the Congress by withholding witnesses to a legitimate investigation?

Did he intimidate a witness during her testimony by tweeting while she was testifying?

Did he lie to the Special Counsel about his conversations with the recently convicted Roger Stone?

All the other stuff, at this time, is extraneous. Hunter Biden will not be on trial. Neither will Burisma. Neither will be anything to do with the 2016 election or Hillary Clinton or the server. All that is political debris. The trial in the Senate will be about Donald Trump. No one else.

Why didn't Trump call for an investigation of corruption and the Bidens in his first 2 1/2 years?

When he had the House and the Senate and the AG and the Justice Dept in his back pocket?

Why did he wait until Joe Biden announces for President to become interested?

The rest of the world will not blame Donald Trump for the threats and instability

They will blame the American people.

How could they have promoted and tolerated such dangerous behavior?

Republicans will blame Democrats and Democrats will blame Republicans. But the rest of the world will blame all of America.

They have sit by as Donald Trump destabilized the world order and helped Vladimir Putin weaken democracies around the world, including their own, they will argue.

All countries, including our present allies, will be very hesitant to ever trust America again.

Are we to presume that anyone that opposed Donald Trump is a suspect?

Whether it be a Ukrainian or an American?

Also, are we to presume that everyone that opposed Mr Trump is guilty of some sort of crime?

That is what we might gather from the questions of Mr Nunes?

"Did you know that VP Biden talked with the President of Ukraine three times"?? What is he insinuating? Something nefarious, for sure?

A small detail : Donald Trump works for the American people.

He does not work for FOX viewers only.

He does not work for only those that support him.

He does not work for only those that are willing to defend him at all costs.

He does not work only for the benefit of himself.

He works for all of America. Even those that are vehemently opposed to him. That is his job.

But, neither he nor his supporters seem to understand that?

That seems to be a small detail that many Americans are over-looking at this time.

"Unorthodox" Criminal ?

Senator Ron Johnson has accused some of these folks coming forward of trying to go after Donald Trump since Day one of his presidency because of his "unorthodox" style of governing. But is it "unorthodox" or is it criminal? The latter seems to fit much better.

Republicans have excused Donald Trump since Day one as being an "unconventional" president. Rather, he was more a lawless president.

Either we are going to have to change reality or we are going to have to change Webster's Dictionary?

The new definitions from Republicans do not fit our present reality.

The nightmare scenario for frightened Republicans.

Yes, they have the votes to acquit Donald Trump in a Senate trial.

But what happens then?

They witnessed the shock in the Party when Trump tweeted an attack upon an impeachment witness, even at the moment she was testifying!

What might happen once he is acquitted? Nobody knows. It is the unpredictable that scares them the most. A lot can happen in a year.

Will another crime be discovered ? Will another witness appear? What might the Courts rule? There are so many devastatimg events that can happen once they acquit him in the Senate.

The scariest part is that they know something bad will happen. They can paint themselves into a corner very easily.

Did Elizabeth make a mistake with her MFA endorsement?

Looking at the polls, she may have scared a few voters away that do not wish to surrender their employer-provided insurance?

If that is the case, what can she do to correct the mistake?

Perhaps there is another reason her polls have gone down?

In my opinion, she needs to refine her message on the MFA. The reality is that many voters do not support Medicare For All at this time.

Does Elizabeth need to change her position to fit political realities?

Ukraine, in context

This scandalous and treasonous story coming out of Ukraine did not happen in a vacuum.

If it had not been for the many questions about Russia after the 2016 elections, Ukraine may not have seemed so important?

All the Intelligence agencies were saying that Russia interfered in our elections, systematically. Donald Trump was calling it a "hoax" and a "witch hunt".

The Justice Dept appointed a Special Counsel to investigate. The Mueller Report showed us a lot. There was a network of criminals within an international network.

Whether or not Mr Mueller was requested to end the investigation prematurely, we do not know? However, the very next day, after Mueller had given his closing comments, Mr Trump was on the phone with the new president of Ukraine, wanting to make a deal. If he went along, he could get a visit at the White House and the money released that Ukraine needed for its national defense. He let him know that he needed a favor.

So, the seeds of doubt had already been planted with the Russia investigation. When it become known that Mr Trump wanted the new president of Ukraine to "investigate" Joe Biden and his son, for political advantage in the next election, the people of this country were on guard not to let any foreigners interfere in our 2020 election.

Trump, Rudy, Lev, and Igor, and others, have assisted with a corrupt and criminal act. That is why the House is impeaching Donald J. Trump.
