Yavin4
Yavin4's JournalFrom now on, I'm going to watch the TV/Movie adaptation and then read the books.
My thinking is that reading the source material makes me enjoy adaptations less. I think that's bc I form my own strong opinions of the characters, plot, etc. while reading it and if the adaptation doesn't reflect my thoughts, then I wind up hating it. My hope is that reading the books after watching the adaptation will work better.
I say that because I'm watching the 3 Body Problem on Netflix, and I am enjoying it. I haven't read the books. So maybe that's why I am enjoying it.

Our justice system is so lenient when it comes to Trump....
...that I purposefully avoid 5th Avenue. Why risk it?
If I sell sandwiches to 10 people at $10 per sandwich, then raise the price to $30 and lose 5 customers.
I still would have increased my revenue by 50%.
Businesses do not care about losing customers to higher prices so long as the remaining customers pay more for the same goods/services which more than makes up for lost customers.
Economics isn't my strong suit. But I think that's what we're experiencing and why so many people hold a negative view of the economy overall. There's enough demand for higher priced goods that businesses can show increased profits over less consumers.
If Disneyland charged $2000 a ticket just to get into the park, it wouldn't matter bc enough people would buy at that price to make up for the lost customers.
If people are going to vote for Trump bc of the economy, then what is/are Trump's plan(s) for the economy?
I genuinely want to know what his economic agenda is. I want to know how he will tame out of control rents and inflation in general. What is he going to do?
Yes, the macro economic numbers are good, but on micro levels, people genuinely hurting in this economy, mostly due to skyrocketing rents and food prices.
So what is Trump's remedy?
Anyone know?
Bernese Mountain Dog takes a day trip to Sandwich, England
Doggo is bitterly disappointed that there were no sandwiches. Considering taking legal action.
Remember that the Speaker of the House is 2nd in the line of succession.
So, these bozos keep monkeying around with their choice of speaker can create a potential constitutional crisis if they're not careful.
Years of Republican pandering to the right wing fringes is coming back to haunt us.
