Jan 20 - Bernie Sanders to attend King Day at the Dome event in Columbia, SC

Sanders is the first 2020 presidential hopeful to confirm he will be attending the Jan. 20 rally and march. Last year, he and U.S. Sen. Cory Booker both spoke at the event.

King Day at the Dome is an annual event in Columbia celebrating the life and legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. The event, held on the steps of the State House on what is usually a chilly morning, has become a common stop for presidential contenders.

This year, the day’s events will kick off at 8:30 a.m. with a prayer service, followed by a march from Zion Baptist Church ending at the State House where the speaker program will kick off at 10:15 a.m.
