ideas. But I have to confess I like the pairing also; a lot of people fasten on her job as a prosecutor, but a progressive activist group evaluated her to be the most progressive senator by votes and achievements. Too bad Elizabeth Warren is white and a northeasterner.

Who'd have thought a one-color male-female ticket would lack a desirable degree of diversity so soon, though? We (amazingly!) haven't elected a woman of any color president yet, but at least minority men can be said to have made substantial progress, with the traditional assumed trickle-down benefits to their "womenfolk."

Oh, my. I just remembered way back when militant black activists called on black women to contribute to the revolution by producing more black babies. Did NOT go over well!

WASHINGTON — When Leah Daughtry, a former Democratic Party official, addressed a closed-door gathering of about 100 wealthy liberal donors in San Francisco last month, all it took was a review of the 2020 primary rules to throw a scare in them.

Democrats are likely to go into their convention next summer without having settled on a presidential nominee, said Ms. Daughtry, who ran her party’s conventions in 2008 and 2016, the last two times the nomination was contested. And Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont is well positioned to be one of the last candidates standing, she noted.

“I think I freaked them out,” Ms. Daughtry recalled with a chuckle, an assessment that was confirmed by three other attendees. They are hardly alone...

And from which poll do you get that?

The one with only 16 choices, where Biden--and a bunch of others--weren't included, and where Warren loses to both Trump and Pence?

Or the one where Vermont's constituents approve of him in high proportions? That's like saying SPAM is the most popular food in the country since it is overwhelmingly popular with Hawaiians.

It clearly can't be current polling, where Biden leads Bernie in a vast majority of the cases, often by double digits.

You are right? I mean that's why you are trying to win the "Democratic" nomination? See, I'm not so sure you should win "our" nomination if you are about something that would make us "nervous". The fact that you think so is what actually makes me "nervous".

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

The Democratic establishment is "worried the country is ready to return to the New Deal policies they've spent 50 years destroying."

That's right, it was the Democrats, not Republicans, trying to destroy New Deal policies this whole time! I've seen it explained: after McGovern's loss the Democratic Party decided New Deal policies would not win elections for them ever again, began shifting Right. By the time Bill Clinton ran for president the unions didn't have any power or money so he turned to Wall St., abandoning unions and the working/middle classes for the 1%. When progressive legislature is attempted and fails, they are secretly relieved -- they only pretend to support progressive legislature, never fight for it, hate and fear it. (What the Republicans are doing during all of this, they do not say.)

That's why Bernie thinks the Democratic Party is ideologically bankrupt and nobody talked about any progressive issues until he ran for president. It is why only he can save the people from the Democratic establishment.

The End.

I thought so all along. Sometimes it coincides with other Democrats, but sometimes it doesn't. And that's okay with him. As long as his agenda gets pushed further along.

I don't know what to think about him. He's good at politicking, though.

he tries to smear Democrats as “the establishment”.
That tired old line has been used since the 60s and is just as ridiculous now as it was then.

Plus I think he has as much chance of winning the Democratic primary, let alone the GE as America has of hearing a truthful statement from Trump.
