RW think tanks, and even our own CIA, going back many decades ... the technology and psyops methods to divide the Left have been steadily and scientifically investigated and perfected since the freaking 1930's, at least. That's why we never really have power. Even when a Clinton or Obama wins ... they never really enact any significant Liberal legislation. Just never actually happens.

Those techniques are going to be unleashed upon us in full force, through all possible avenues for 2020. Even by outlets we'd normally perceive as being on 'our side', like Vanity Fair. Cause they don't even realize they're being manipulated.

So be ready. Stand Strong, and don't fall for their bullshit, friends

It is pure right wing propaganda. AOC won because she ran a terrific grass roots campaign, because she knocked on doors and talked to people. That's how AOC won, not because Justice Democrats support her.

Where did Bernie attack Joe? I didn't watch cable news, I only watch Nicolle and Rachel. I did catch a video of Elizabeth Warren bashing Joe, but the poster of this thread never mentioned her.

Isn't that because both Clinton and Obama only had majorities in the legislature for two years (and in Obama's case that was only four months and ten days in the Senate, including assholes like Joe Lieberman, who ruined the ACA by refusing to vote for it with the public option). Gingrich started the full-on politics as war, we all know Republicans refused to let Obama get anything done. Do people even know how this works.

2010 and helped us lose the house and state legislatures...a massive state gerrymandering was the result and Obama was shut down for the rest of his two terms, this is why we get nothing in terms of policy . And then the anti-Obama sentiment seen even on this website in 2014 resulted in losing the Senate and ultimately a SCOTUS nominee. Clinton too lost the house in 1994. And played on the GOP turf for the rest of his term. So if the policy doesn't suit the left left and often greens, they have only themselves to blame. They pride themselves on holding the party accountable never acknowledging the fact this causes us electoral losses over and over. And this conduct sabotages any meaningful progress on policy.

Many pundits saying that “there’s a war for the soul of the Democratic Party between the Sanders/Warren type far left Socialist wing and the Biden/Klobuchar type more moderate Establishment wing”.

They love to just throw stuff like that out there like it’s gospel.
No diving into the policies of the candidates.
No reference to how the GOP gave up all of its wings to a crazy con man.

The only way we lose in 2020 is to not fight back against this garbage.
Yes, the Dem tent is big and we have a wide range of views on many topics.
But, ALL, and I mean every last one of our candidates has more intelligence, empathy, humanity, and adherence to the rule of law and the Constitution than Donald Trump has in one small stubby finger.
All of them.

You can see what happened in 2018 when Democrats worked together.

I have been thinking about this. Republicans became the mean and evil party doing nothing but hate and destruction since the 1990’s. That has all come to a heading in Trump, McConnell, Boehner, Scalise, Jordan and others feeding the hate.

It is now imploding.

bashing AOC is a right wing talking point. I really have my doubts, sorry, that you are an Elizabeth Warren supporter because her agenda is similar to Bernie's and AOC's. Why did Warren publicly attack Biden? Why conflate what Justice Democrats did with Bernie Sanders? Justice Democrats also support Elizabeth Warren.

We won a tsunami in 2018 because Democrats ran as FDR Democrats, we went back to our roots. People who say we need to run as 3rd Way Democrats in 2020 are giving the presidency to Trump. The millennial voters and younger than that voters will stay home. Funny isn't it how the youngest Democratic voters turn out for the 2 oldest Democratic candidates.

Facts are facts about candidates who cater to corporate America, just look at which candidates aren't taking corporate bribes. I see that mayor Pete just announced that he is stopping taking lobbyist money. I will vote for whoever our candidate is, enthusiastically, but I prefer a candidate who isn't taking corporate money.

Too funny, AOC won despite the suspicion that establishment Dems suppressed the vote. I don't believe that but just saying. Crowley was a good man, AOC was just better and no one would be dumb enough to challenge her in a primary I would hope. AOC is a rare find, she is one of the few Democrats who has the ability to change the right wing narratives. Why in heaven would any Democrat want her primaried? Have you watched any of her Congressional hearings? Obviously not. She comes prepared and does a super job asking questions. Why would anyone want to primary her out? She is a breath of fresh air, she brings out the millennial and younger voters.

among other accomplishments, This is not 2008...we are unlikely to win Florida or Ohio. Thus we must look where our opportunities lie and who can win the electoral college, I would add that Obama did not run as a far left candidate in the general even in 08. We win with a big tent and a presidential nominee who runs in the center.

Because the flaws that have cost him the other two presidential campaigns are still there. But he is no conservative even with his banking bill vote. I don’t see why he would be the representative of the “conservative” wing of the party. He might be the choice of the stability wing.
