I'm seeing a fair number of #bernieorbust tags on social media (namely twitter)

I thought we were past that now? That sort of stuff really seems like #MAGAlite support chant. This, of course, applies across the board to any My Candidate of Bust movements, but the bernie one seems to actually have some legs. From what I can tell, most people here don't follow that mindset. Any Bernie folks run into many of these bernie or bust types? Any chance of them not making such mistakes if Bernie doesn't get it? I know if I saw someone saying "Biden or Bust", then I'd be rather annoyed and push them to reconsider that mindset.

I am also curious how many of these are real people and how many are not. Need to start digging in to see if they give off any "bot/cyborg smells", because it really does seem counterproductive.

If it was my job to get Trump reelected, then I'd focus on trying to sow that division. Should be interesting to keep an eye on this to see if this starts getting lots of automated bot traction, and other managed fake accounts posting in favor of it.

Tired of status quo bras that don't fight hard enough for you? The "Bernie or Bust" anti-establishment bra is guaranteed to divide and separate. Call now to order and we'll insult you (FREE!) for not knowing the "Bernie or Bust" bra has the most support -- it's the most popular and authentic bra in the nation! What were you doing with those corrupt neoliberal bras? David Brock and the DNC paid you liberal elites, didn't they? Order the "Bernie or bust" or we'll make sure you have no bras at all, centrist.

tons of never Bernie there as well but ignore. Still hopeful what I see on DU re Bernie would change as well.

But I’m trying to be optimistic.

Suggestion would be to disregard anonymous stuff on Twitter meant just to rile you up.

Last election it went mostly ignored as harmless, but it seems to hard to believe it didn't have any impact on the 2020 election. In fact, most analysis seem to suggest it did serve to cause less turn out in the general for Clinton. I hope whoever get the nomination doesn't have the same thing happen. The bernie or bust and even the neverbernie stuff seems like it has the most potential to cause problems if not addressed.

were headed by an anarchist group, that has since taken down their page. They openly declared that if Bernie wasn't the candidate for the Dems, they would push Trump. They had clear foreign ties and in their rants were only interested in damaging the US. They succeeded, and should be shunned by anyone with a brain

I looked them up on 2015, when all this started, and even sent numerous emails, with links, to the Sanders campaign. As I was a fairly large financial supporter of Sanders since Day 1 of his candidacy, I was dismayed that they not only chose not to do anything about it, but instead blocked my communications. The site was gone by late 2016 when I was trying to find it to show someone.

Sorry, I know this becomes all hearsay, but it is what it is. The original Bernie or bust leaders were not interested in Sanders, but in disruption. Once it went viral, they disappeared into the wood work. Reminded me a lot of the agitators that have intentionally caused problems and violence at the various protests over the years, (WTO 1999, G-20 2010). They even made comments about those, so I suspect they were involved.

But again, only hearsay at this point. Sorry

primary today, I would vote for:
