Mayor Pete's favorite books (per an article in the April 15-28 issue of "New York" magazine).

Top of the heap: "Ulysses" by James Joyce (Buttigieg carries a copy of it with him, and considers it to be "The greatest work of modern English literature"

Other favorites: "The Odyssey" by Homer, "The Little Prince" by Saint-Exupery, "A Child's Christmas In Wales" by Dylan Thomas, "Wolf Hall" by Hilary Mantel, and "The Quiet American" by Graham Greene.

Contrast the foregoing with our current White House resident, whose grasp of the English language is tenuous at best.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Trump's favorite books haven't been written yet, that's all. When they have been, he'll get Ivanka to read them to him in bed while he watches Hannity.

And Mayor Pete's favorites may be called "classic" by the Eastern elites from places like South Bend, but they all have way too many words for a busy chief executive. Besides, none of them have anything praising Trump's presidency, or golf game, or hair, or first daughter.

Beach & Joyce

Sylvia Beach (March 14, 1887 – October 5, 1962), born Nancy Woodbridge Beach, was an American-born bookseller and publisher who lived most of her life in Paris, where she was one of the leading expatriate figures between World War I and II.

She is known for her Paris bookstore, Shakespeare and Company, where she published James Joyce's controversial book, Ulysses (1922), and encouraged the publication and sold copies of Hemingway's first book, Three Stories and Ten Poems (1923).
