I notice in this forum supporters of one candidate posting flattering articles on other candidates

I like that. These people are competing with each other for the nomination, but not against each other.

If I see supporters of one candidate just trashing other candidates, it's a turn off. When I see supporters posting flattering articles about their competitors, it makes me hopeful. It tells me their candidate attracts people who care more about serving the country than winning power.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Especially since so many try to hang Franken around her and her alone. Even though dozens of Democrats called for Franken's resignation, the same day. And a number of them are running for President as well ... and they all seem to get a pass.

That brittleness and instant defensiveness is a terrible quality in a leader.

I know others came in behind her on Biden. It was a mistake and we Democrats are trying to figure out how to be advocates for victims and realize that it can be weaponized and people lumped into one category who don’t belong there. She shows no sign of even thinking about it. But I know she’s a blip on the radar.

They are human beings with past mistakes, gaffes (here's looking at you, Joe), with DUI's (Hi, Beto), a little harsh on their staff (Make them toe the line, Amy) and a whole host of other human imperfections. And yet, they are all smart, capable, strong, educated, willing and qualified to be President. Any one of them could do the job and do it well. All of them would surround themselves with the best and brightest staff. And every one of them is a 1000 times more qualified and better than the current fat squatter in the WH.

I am 100% Sanders but freely admit that his rivals are better communicators on certain issues, such as Harris on the failure of private health insurance.

I echo your sentiment and wish more members of DU showed the same degree of decorum.

I've ruled out 3 or 4 so far, but I'm still considering and listening to most of our awesome field of candidates. There are so many possibilities, and they all have neat/cool ideas. We would be foolish not to listen to these great people while they're putting themselves out there.

the early dawn of the primaries for 2016. It was so much worse than 08 or 04, right out of the gate. We had agitators here at DU then before candidates declared and the primary races actually started, and one of the reasons I noticed was because there was such venom from the agitators and it was at a time when there was nothing to be venomous about. They chased members around starting flamewars, and you could see it as it happened. Some of it started even before the mid terms; I can remember posts where people were responding and saying hey, let's get out the vote for that before we tackle the presidential primary. I blame a lot of our division here since then on that early agitation and harassment, and yes, some of it was harassment. Most of those particular members have been tombstoned or FFR'd (which has the same effect lol) at least under the names they used then.
But I remember them, and I remember their names. Repellant assholes is what they were.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
