My prediction: the most likely candidate will be known after Super Tuesday.

SO many delegates will have been picked by that time it will be hard to play catch-up
My prediction for the final 5 are (not in order):

Biden
Harris
Sanders
Buttigieg
O'rourke

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Biden and Bernie are too old. I am seventy, and I think this job is for younger people.

But name recognition is always hard to beat, so Sanders & Biden have the most of that. And so many votes cast early just dont give enough time for the lesser knowns to get noticed. I know warren has been around, but I think Harris & sanders steal her thunder.

If a person on this site said they couldn't vote for Warren because she's a woman, or Booker because he's black, or your guy because of his sexual preference, we'd be alerted, sanctioned and our posting rights suspended.

Why do you think your bigoted, offensive statement is OK?

Age is something that happens ... and it affects individuals differently.

It is legitimately within our prerogative as voters to make a determination about how age and experience contribute to how a candidate for President might do her or his job. We will see by how they perform in the next few months if Biden and Bernie are up to the job at their advanced years -- just as we can decide if Buttigieg is too young and inexperienced.

An 80 year old Walmart greeter is no risk to national security; a president like Reagan descending into Alzheimer's disease is a risk to national security.

...let me know how smart it is to piss off older voters. Oh, by the way. Do you think Ruth Bader Ginsburg should resign and allow Trump to pick a younger Justice? Just asking.

I'm in my 60s ... I can't imagine being close to 80 and trying to run the country.

Indeed, most of the older folks I know are quite insistent that the biggest job in the world needs a person more in the Obama range to tackle this position. Trump has got to go no matter who is the Democratic nominee -- but no one sensible really thinks that just because one believes Biden or Sanders is too old that that is going piss off old people.

And being on the Supreme Court is not the same as being president. And ... I am old enough to remember when a hero of mine, Justice William O. Douglas, refused to leave the Supreme Court even when he was incapacitated -- it hurt his reputation.

You know you can be for Biden without having a chip on your shoulder about his age.

And how about this for a web site: don't stereotype older voters.

A black person doesn't necessarily vote for the Black candidate. But just say that you can't vote for a candidate because he or she is black and that you are representing the Democratic position and see where that gets you.

Saying that 70 is too old to serve as president is a bigoted thing to say.

If I were to vote in a presidential

Mon Apr 22, 2019, 08:31 PM

It doesn't

Senior voters, especially white senior voters, tend to be more conservative and vote Republican.

"Since well before Donald Trump’s candidacy, significant majorities of 50-plus whites have favored Republican presidential candidates. They have been a major reason for that party’s control of a substantial majority of statehouses and governors’ mansions, and because they constitute a significant percentage of the voters in states like Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin, they pose a roadblock on a Democratic presidential candidate’s route to the Electoral College."

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/12/12/opinion/democrats-republicans-senior-voters-aarp-.html

"Older voters (ages 65 and older) preferred Trump over Clinton 53%-45%. This is roughly the same advantage for the Republican candidate as in 2012 when older voters backed Romney over Obama 56%-44%."

https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2016/11/09/behind-trumps-victory-divisions-by-race-gender-education/

"The GOP edge among seniors is not as pronounced as is the Democratic edge among young Americans, and at no point across the entire age spectrum do Republicans enjoy a double-digit party identification advantage. However, seniors are the most likely to turn out and vote in elections, meaning the modest Republican advantage among older Americans translates into disproportionate power at the ballot box."

...and they are getable and Biden can get them.

Then we don't have tp rely on undependable voters who don't turn out or vote 3rd party.

The strongest ticket in this election is Biden-Harris. Can another ticket win? Of course they can, but the strongest, in my opinion, is Biden-Harris.
