Its early in the 2020 campaign, and on Thursday, April 11, a few days before Mayor Pete Buttigieg formally entered the presidential campaign the announcement would come on Sunday, April 14, from his hometown, South Bend, Ind. Susie and Mark Buell, supporters of Kamala Harris, invited folks over to get acquainted with him.
. . .
After his speech, there were questions on immigration. I dont know why the president thinks this country is full. South Bend has room for 30,000 more, Buttigieg said. Sewers and roads are in place, he added, and if 30,000 immigrants were to arrive, the taxes theyd pay could support those services.
. . .
We need a national project to unite us, said Buttigieg. If we do get it right, climate change can be that national project, ... give us a source of national purpose. ... Whats not going to work is finding a smoking gun to prove this president is not a nice guy.
A Kamala and Mayor Pete ticket would be great, said Horn, though he didnt say which one would be in the Oval Office. You heard it here.
