Why wouldn't we want to fight to preserve what most of our family LITERALLY fought, bled & DIED for, (lynching, murder, etc), after almost 500 years of SLAVERY? Oh & YOU'RE welcome! Just remember, we're not where we want to be but we SURE AS HELL ain't where we were.
The monsters who're trying as hard as possible to maintain their idea of libertarian, hatefilled, greedy sucked up dystopia, which seems to be EVERY gopper's wet dream, are flailing, bound & determined to keep it. BUT AS THE DESCENDANT of African Slaves, Asians, who weren't allowed to bring their women here but were good enough to build flood control, infrastructure AND the railroad system, Native Americans who survived GENOCIDE, Spaniards, Creoles & Irish people who were "indentured" slaves, (these are just PART of my bloodline, LOL) & NOT considered to be white by other Europeans, we will go down fighting for everyone before we ALLOW them to enslave ANYONE here ever again...PERIOD!! We fight FOR EVERYONE because we ARE everyone, more so than almost anyone else ON EARTH..
We still have alot of work to do but if we refuse to allow them to divide us, using petty & stupid nonsensical differences, we will win.. A, #1, bonified guaranteed to please. we'll get there.

If an enslaved population, STOLEN from Africa, who was not only able to survive but live to see freedom, not only from actual slavery & de facto slavery to succeeding at something even MY parents never DREAMED would happen for us, 44TH PRESIDENT of the UNITED STATES, the HONORABLE Barack Obama, we can lock arms & get rid of the shackles that bind all of us by working TOGETHER!

They even parroted the Fox Noise lines about Biden's campaign being toast. But it didn't stop me and a motivated bunch to stick to our guns and win delegates for Biden, convincing others to join our collective before it was all done.

I've kept their messages from that day as mementos. It feels so good knowing we were right all along about this wonderful man named Joe Biden.

Just been so busy trying to stay alive. sigh.

I've still been taking the bus.. the last time with a homemade mask from a thick tea towel. I bought enough food last Sunday so I won't have to go on Easter. I need a break!

We still get to go out for exercise.. running or walking.. so I get to be out in the Sunshine for an hour a day in addition to whenever I have to go for food.

We have 18 cases of CV and no deaths.. so we're doing pretty good for a the smaller Island.

How are you faring at your place by now?!

It's so stressful when you have to go out. Your mind, body and soul needs the rest! And it's good that you get to go out and get some exercise. Also a great stress reliever.

I'm in Southern California and it's been pouring rain for days. We got three inches of rain in two and a half days. It's still raining. So no exercise here. I'm looking forward to seeing the sunshine and being able to take a walk. Then we've had a bunch of earthquakes. Because, why not? Might as well get it all at one time. LOL?

I needed some medication and I couldn't get to it. I put a plea out on my neighborhood message board. And one of my neighbors saw it and went to Costco and got my meds, and then she asked if I needed groceries. Yes!

So when her husband did his bi-weekly shopping, he added my stuff to the list. So I am safely set in my house, with the blessing of groceries and medications and wonderful friends watching over me. I keep asking myself, 'what did I do to deserve all these good things happening to me?' It's wonderful to be able to see and feel blessings while we are in the middle of a pandemic.

San Diego County has had 36 deaths, up from 19 a few days ago. 1,530 total cases. This is data as of yesterday.

You continue to stay safe and healthy! Sending you a bunch of germ-free hugs.

That is a lot of rain.. Did you need it? I used to live all over San Diego County for 15 years.. I got to know it quite well. Many fond memories. My daughter was born there!

So Sorry for those who have passed on from the silent, invisible killer

It is a good feeling in the midst of the global pandemic to have such helpful neighbors and feeling safe in our homes. I have that, too... and am so thankful for everything!

Apr 2020

But we just got there in the past couple of days. The other good thing about the rain is that it is keeping people at home.

Well, almost everyone. I just got what they call 'a one call now' from the village office.

They had to close the dog park because people were not obeying social distancing rules. They normally sit down there in a big circle of chairs, practically on top of each other. (The dogs are much more well-behaved than the people.)

I had to explain to someone what the six foot rule was about, that it wasn't just some random number pulled out of someone's head. So they moved the chairs apart for a while. Apparently that didn't last long. The dog park was closed two days ago and we just got another warning that people are still going in there.
90% of the people who go in the dog park are Republicans. Beyond stupid! How hard is it to stay six feet away from someone?

Anyway, I'm glad you are staying safe. And I will join you in holding up a candle in memory of all those we have lost.

As a southern white male born into privileged I did not realize what I had and it took me WAY to long to open my eyes to realize that what my African American brothers and sisters wanted is best for me as well.

The base of our party in the south are People of color. I decided I’m gonna be guided by their example. God knows they have more skin in the game than I do.

Now I can’t wait to see how President Obama chooses to weigh in. I’m thinking he will wait till trump finishes his self immolation with the virus.
