People need to stop panicking about Sanders

Biden is going to be the nominee. I’m glad Sanders suspended the campaign, I don’t honestly care if he chooses to stay on the ballot in the upcoming states cause it’s not gonna matter. I personally think the best thing people who find him and his supporters irritating could do is stop. giving. him. attention. Quit rewarding what you see as bad behavior. You think he’s grandstanding? Ignore him, ignore supporters who are being jerks, reach out to that huge percentage who will vote blue in Nov. Pivot to the general. We’ve de facto been there for a while anyway. Focus on the fact that Repugs are totally prepared to use current events to steal this thing. Keep your eyes on the prize. We need Trump out.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

People are noting what the situation actually is, that this a grudging speech which is uttered by a small man who still imagines he can blackmail the Party into granting him a measure of control over its convention and policies.

It is unfortunate, but he is living down to lowest expectations any had for him, rather than rising to the occasion, as the needs of the country demand.

You do know there was a critical State Supreme Court vote on the ballot? That was the whole reason for the GOP pushing to have the vote.

Sen. Sanders' conduct presents a self-solving problem. The more he acts small and petty, the less influence he has. Since he's acting small and petty, let's accord him a corresponding amount of respect and attention.

I agree -- people are freaking out prematurely.

In many ways, a lot of us are still shell-shocked from 2016. I get it. It was traumatic. I was traumatized myself. But this is NOT the same as 2016.

I thing people are going to come to understand that, once the news settles in.

It's going to be all right, people. I really do believe that!

I'm not aware of any other candidates doing so. Ballots in the early states still showed candidates who dropped out before Iowa.

If he doesnt unconditionally drop out and endorse Biden, his hard core supporters will hang on till the bitter end and when the bitter end finally comes they will so pissed off they either wont vote, vote for Trump, or vote write-in. Furthermore, Biden will be cast by them as not being much better than Trump and not worth the effort to vote. That is what happened in 2016. We cannot afford this again.
