Bernie Sanders 'Morally Bankrupt' for Taking Campaign Donations During Coronavirus Crisis

Actress-activist Alyssa Milano on Wednesday reported it is “intellectually and morally bankrupt” for Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) to get marketing campaign donations for the duration of the coronavirus pandemic, specified that he has “no route forward.”

“It is intellectually bankrupt for Bernie to faux that not unifying the bash these days is advantageous to a democratic victory in November,” the Insatiable actress declared. “He is even now using donations from persons throughout disaster on a marketing campaign that has no path forward! It’s intellectually and morally bankrupt.”

Although Sanders is continuing to accept donations, his campaign announced previous 7 days that it raised above $2 million for charities associated in coronavirus relief initiatives.

Nonetheless, Sanders continues to be over 300 delegates shorter of Joe Biden (D) and has admitted that he faces a “very steep road” to the nomination. Even so, he thinks he can better “continue the fight” for progressive policies by sustaining a presence in the race.

keeps going, paid staffer checks keep coming and money to the campaign war chest keeps increasing even though there's no campaigning going on with this virus crisis.

Oh well, I'm sure the war chest money will be distributed among family and friends when Sanders does suspend, once they figure out how to skirt campaign financing laws of course.

thrown in is just what Sanders supporters should do. Don't send it to Biden's campaign which will be used to take Trump on in November. After all, winning isn't everything and all. Such a great idea to send Sanders more money now that mathematically, he will not be the nominee ...sure beats say flushing it down the toilet. I am sure Sanders supporters are not laid off but are rolling in extra money. I mean Sanders assures us that at least some will go to charity anyway. Sending it to food banks or to people who are literally in danger of starving to death would be a waste. Good on Sander's supporters. It is a perfect picture of Sander's losing campaign to ask for money to fund a losing primary campaign and use charity as the reason ...even though not all the money will go to charity. And they said it couldn't be done...the campaign motto is me not us? I think that was it. Brilliant!.

To this day he calls the Democratic Party a failure, ideologically bankrupt, elite, establishment, corrupt, etc., and the votes of Democrats going back decades proof of bad judgement and being the same as Republicans. Proof of a life-long commitment of fighting for civil rights being that Bernie once got arrested for protesting in college and listened to MLK's "I have a dream" speech in Washington during the 60s, and endorsing Jesse Jackson for president in the 80s.

Can't have it both ways.

"From Bernie’s perspective, dropping out of a race once you have no chance of winning is peculiar behavior that can only be explained by the work of a hidden hand. For most politicians, though, it is actually standard operating procedure. Only Sanders seems to think the normal thing to do once voters have made clear they don’t want to nominate you is to continue campaigning anyway."

"When things are not called by their right names, what is said cannot make sense. When what is said does not make sense, what is planned cannot succeed.
