The statement boils down to, young idiots ain't so scared of dying....

"From Bernie’s perspective, dropping out of a race once you have no chance of winning is peculiar behavior that can only be explained by the work of a hidden hand. For most politicians, though, it is actually standard operating procedure. Only Sanders seems to think the normal thing to do once voters have made clear they don’t want to nominate you is to continue campaigning anyway."

"When things are not called by their right names, what is said cannot make sense. When what is said does not make sense, what is planned cannot succeed. When plans do not succeed, people become uneasy. When people are uneasy, punishments do not fit crimes. When punishments do not fit crimes, people cannot know where to put hand or foot."

That explains the big crowds of young people at beaches, bars and parks in the middle of a growing pandemic.

It contains one of the most acutely observed lines to ever emerge from a rock and roll song ---

"I'm just twenty-two and I don't mind dyin'!"

Gets the peak age of that feeling square on the nose.

This guy used to jump at the club we went to in Sparta, IL not far from St Louis...

https://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=1310&dat=19801123&id=5vhVAAAAIBAJ&sjid=9uEDAAAAIBAJ&pg=6865,7044905

His wife mentioned in the article saw it happen which musta been horrifying. She worked as a receptionist at the place we jumped at and was a real nice lady. But she married an idiot. Rumor has it he tried to land on top of the Arch and then get inside it through an access panel but a gust of wind started pulling him down the north leg. He frantically kept throwing his reserve chute out as he slid down but he was going too slow to have it deploy.

But he was still going fast enough to kill himself. I only made 5 jumps before I decided that was enough especially since I was getting worse and not better so I stopped and crossed that off my list of stupid things to do. Pretty sure I woulda ended up like him if I had done it long enough. Also did some paragliding running off of steep cliffs and flying PPCs in California years later but those were pretty short-lived also.

Nowadays flying drones is plenty enough exciting for me...LOL. If you crash you're only out a few bucks and don't wind up dead.

Lost the taste when I got old enough to buy my own drinks. The incident that changed my view isn't worth going into, but involved wet flat rock, with a slight downward grade, at the head of a box canyon in the Rockies. The tag-quote was the refrain of a fellow I worked with for a while who had been a paratrooper, a fierce little guy who was good to have on the other end of something heavy.

That is a horrible incident you describe. A pity for his poor wife.

Glad you made it through that incident!

Here's a little treat for you...do yourself a favor and take a short break from the virus and Trump and politics and all the other shit we're all going through right now and watch the first few minutes of this long video for an uplifting experience.

Drone technology is amazing...they make FPV goggles nowadays that transmits real-time TV so it's just like flying on the drone itself. Plus you can fly places and do things you never could sitting in a machine and like I said it's a whole lot safer!

Enjoy, amigo...

What might disadvantage 'Bernie' is an offense against the very idea of Democracy, while of course anything that might benefit 'Bernie' is the very epitome of Democracy. So it is easy to tell what is and isn't democratic practice. Just ask, is this thing good or bad for 'Bernie', and the answer will be immediately clear to you.

He's not going to be the nominee, and by now, he surely knows that.

So why is he still in this race ?

At a time when we need to do EVERYTHING possible to defeat trumpie, put all of our efforts into supporting a candidate who CAN beat trumpie, BS is nothing but an insult to common sense.

He looks more and more like Ralph Nader every day. And for Nader, it was ALL about (his) ego. So, BS, what's your excuse ?

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
