Fox News Poll Shows Joe Biden CRUSHING Trump By 25 Points in Swing Counties

A new Fox News poll shows former Vice President Joe Biden leading President Donald Trump by a crushing 25 point margin in counties that were close in 2016.

The poll shows Biden with a commanding 49-40 lead over Trump nationally and an eight-point lead in battleground states, but things are considerably more dire for Trump in counties where Trump and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton were within 10 points of each other in 2016:

The race remains a nine-point advantage for Biden over Trump when looking only at those voters extremely interested in the election (52-43 percent) and the former vice president has an eight-point edge in battleground states (48-40 percent).

However, Biden’s advantage grows to 25 points, 57-32 percent, in close counties (where Hillary Clinton and Trump were within 10 points in 2016).

The timing of the poll is encouraging for Biden as well, since it was taken during a week in which Trump saw Americans buoy his approval ratings to the highest of his presidency amid the coronavirus crisis, a sign that the rallying effect might not translate to support for Trump’s reelection.

I have a feeling that, by November, when the full effects of Trump's incompetent response to the pandemic are playing out, any inanimate object would beat that orange bastard by double digits.

...and I LOATHE Dodge cars!

I personally don't care about any polls except one in November! When our candidate is leading, it tends to lull us into complacency, and we CANNOT AFFORD that for a minute! He is too devious and crooked, and if we don't keep up our guard and WORK our ASSES OFF to defeat him, he WILL steal it from us! Too much at stake for us to let that happen! Keep Working!

8. First, I don't believe ANYTHING that emanates from that network

Second, the motives underlying their "reporting" are often not what they seem.

Third, they are skilled at deception and propaganda.

Fourth, the subliminal intent of such reports is to cultivate fear among those whose minds they feed on and (in this case, fear of Trump losing).

This poll is a thinly veiled dog whistle to rally conservative FOX viewers to VOTE--and at the same time to reduce or suppress the sense of urgency among Democrats who accept this BS and think we've got it in the bag.

Did we learn anything from 2016? The same dynamic was in play. We must see this for what it likely is, and not grow overly confident complacent.

So, I do trust it

Also, out this past week, Quinnipiac also A rated gave Joe a 9+ point leader in the same swing counties

One poll....maybe some questions, but 2, gives it a lot more credibility

11. People don't vote by county in US presidential elections. This was a national poll of 1,000 voters

(registered), so the number of people in "swing counties" and battleground states will have been so small that the margin of error is laughably huge.

The 8 point lead in battleground states had a bit of meaning, but again, if, what , 25% of the country live in those states, then it's effectively a poll of 250 people, with a large margin of error - 5%.

EC votes are assigned by state not by county. I wish polling firms would focus their efforts on the swing states, not swing counties.

Joe Biden
