You have to keep in mind that the most notable thing about BS is not that his campaign is based on ideas, rather BS has created an ongoing platform to launch false attacks on Democrats. It is not just Biden. It is not just Warren. BS's goal is try to make everyone more unelectable than he is. BS does not build a movement. He destroys it and tries to replace it with a personality cult centered around him.

But they acknowledge that there's increasing public examination of his record.

10. Endorsed Biden After Originally Being Partial to Bernie

Elizabeth Warren was once an ally, but Bernie burned that bridge with his attacks on her character.

Heck, even Tulsi Gabbard, who endorsed Bernie in 2016, is endorsing Biden.

I think it is pretty relevant how BS manages to alienate would be allies. You can lead a movement if you are shooting everyone you are hoping to lead in the back.

It speaks to BS's narcissism and his qualities as a leader that he manages to alienate even folks like Beto and Warren and most surprisingly Tulsi.

but it doesn't mean that the information in the article isn't true. I recall the attacks from Bernie's surrogates such as David Sirota that were made against Beto in late 2018 and early 2019.

8. The Key Thing Is That BS's Attacks Are Not Unique to An Opponent

Perhaps in 2016, you could attribute it to something unique about Hillary Clinton, but this time around, it is clear that BS has a clear playbook of launching character attacks on his opponents and Democrats in general.

As noted by the Foreign Policy Research Initiative, Bernie's campaign is tailor (on purpose?) to be used at platform for Russia to influence the U.S. election and undermine faith in a Democratic system, particularly since BS's campaign is focused on attacking Democrats even though he is running for the Democratic nomination.

Though Russia pushed similar narratives about Sanders during the 2016 election, there are new Sanders narratives in 2020:
* New establishment figures opposing Sanders – Mayors Pete Buttigieg and Michael Bloomberg are often portrayed as part of alleged Democratic corruption
* Need for transparency – Despite Sanders’s campaign pushing for more transparency in the caucuses for 2020, he remains a victim of DNC bias
* 2020 is more corrupt than 2016 – The notion that alleged corruption is far worse in 2020 than it was in 2016.

Beto engaged young voters in his Senate campaign in 2018. Immediately after the election, some of Bernie's supporters started attacking Beto because they viewed him as a contender for a demographic group that they desperately needed for Bernie's campaign. It was a classic example of dirty politics that some of Bernie's supporters engaged in, not only against Beto, but nearly every other candidate that rose above the 2% support level in the primaries.
