They will be counted when the rest of us get to vote.

They are going to try to send ballots in the mail.

There will be no announcement tonight.

I saw DeWine explain it several times.

If they send the ballots in the mail, what happens with people who already voted? They are going to be confused if they should vote again.
It's a big giant mess.

He has been doing a good job.

He has taken the threat of the corona virus very seriously.

I think we will all get to vote.

The polling place where you voted will have a record of your vote.

They have a list of ballots that have already been mailed.

You have to fill out a form for a mail-in ballot.

You have to do it for every election.

It is not a one and done kind of thing.

I am glad it is postponed.

I didn't want to go out, but I would have accepted the risk.

I shouldn't be ask to accept that risk when there are other solutions.

It seems surreal to give any type of praise to a republican.

7. We used to get notices

In the mail asking if we wanted an absentee.

Husted was ordered by the Court to send a notice to everyone the year he filed law suit after law suit. He never did again. But a simple phone call will get you one. I was even called back to make sure I received it.

I do wish people would quit complaining. Those BOE workers work long, hard hours to make sure the elections run smoothly, but snafus happen.

But he didn't have the authority to postpone it, and I am assuming he still doesn't now. Polls were ordered closed anyway.
How are they legally going to change the date?

As of now there is no election. Secretary of state will have to go to court to try and have it moved.
As court didn't order it cancelled, do you have any idea what the court will actually decide?

primary today, I would vote for:

Sadly, that's just a guess. Even if you listen to the most knowledgeable experts, you're still guessing. Even if this is a correct guess, it doesn't follow that the number of new cases will fall as rapidly as they increased. I believe the more likely scenario is that the number of new cases will hit a plateau and remain roughly constant until the virus has run its course through the population and/or a vaccine becomes available.

The idea of social distancing is to slow down the spread of the virus so that our healthcare system doesn't get overwhelmed. It isn't expected to significantly reduce the number of cases, just spread them out over a longer period of time. Postponing the election will likely mean voting at a time when the daily number of new cases is higher than today, not lower. I believe that the number of asymptomatic carriers of the virus and the risk of infection will be higher in June, not lower.

It's also a dangerous precedent that creates an extraordinary opportunity for abuse.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

That's why judge ruled against postponing the election, because there is no guarantee things will be any better in June.
