Let me tell you my experience with older voters

I live in Traverse city Michigan, my wife and I live with my mother who is 66 years old. It's her property and we take care of her and my grandmother who is still alive at 80. I take them to the local salon once a week so they can get their hair done. I get a window into what is on the minds of the ladies there who are all mostly around 65-80. They also hosts spades card game they play once a week. Anyway, They're both very social still.

They were so exited to vote for Biden here, I know they would risk their lives or walk through glass, as they say... to be able to vote. It's more than a pro Biden vote, it's also an anti Bernie vote. The hate they feel for him is visceral and it is a big motivator to vote. I don't think Bernie supporter have any idea that there is a large amount of older folks who feel this way. I'm sure there is a lot of Ohio voters disappointed they can't vote tomorrow. I remember how exited and ramped up my mom and her friends were here in MI.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

People who've been around longer have seen more. Those who lived through the similar dysfunctions of the 1930s are gone now, but children they raised and for whom that history was the recent past are still with us.

As for Sanders' obsession with socialism, reportedly some younger people are seeing romance in this idea. But older voters all lived through the decades during which all the socialist experiments failed, usually turning into oppressive and impoverished authoritarian states but causing dreadful suffering in all those nations while the rest of the planet saw great advances. Older people see no romance in poverty and oppression to keep power, and certainly not in fanaticism and mass stupidity.

Thanks for the view from Traverse City.

against Sanders, I voted for Biden. I call myself a Democratic Socialist and that makes me an Anti-Fascist.
I voted for Sanders 4 years ago and then voted for Clinton in the elections. I think it is now time for Bernie to throw in the towel and save some older voters from the risk of the virus by having to go to the polls in the primaries that are left.
I truly think we all need to unite to dump trump. I won't bad mouth anyone on the Left, even Bernie.

I find that loyal, lifelong Democrats hate Bernie as much as they hate Trump.

After Nevada, alarm bells sounded in those people's heads and they became far more energized and enthusiastic to come out and cast an anti-Bernie vote for Biden even though many of them supported other candidates before.

Bernie's going back to being an independent has left a bitter taste in their mouths that he cannot possibly overcome.

Now, November cannot come soon enough for these people and they will carry their energy and enthusiasm to kick the orange clown out on his hiney.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
