The banks hoovered up the money as usual, but I think we got a good percentage of the money back from AIG and the car companies.

I don't see why we can't take a short term equity position or have the best preferred stock rate (it sucked that Buffett actually got better terms than the US government last time - I remembered that).

I don't see why equity holders shouldn't take haircuts (sometimes big haircuts like GM).

this time that consumers benefit from them being saved. Last time honeowners who were upside down got screwed by the banks after taxpayers saved the banks.

Biden's currently polling about 2:1 among Dems vs. Sanders. The ratio is probably a little higher here.

So far he has been evasive of questions, or unable to respond to anything that isn’t in his playbook, just repeating stump speech rhetoric that he has been using since the 1970s.
People want a president who can think on his feet and respond effectively and promptly to new challenges.

And he has been either ungracious, belligerent, or just plain nasty. People want a president with dignity and character.

Instead of attacking Biden, shouldn’t he be standing against Trump and the Republicans.

For the most part, nobody really cares about this debate outside of some Sanders supporters who were hoping it would drastically change the race, because the race is over. Plus, the rest of the country is a little distracted at the moment by a pandemic.

It doesn't actually matter unless there are massive swings in the turnout, i.e. +30% in under 45, -20% in over 45. Biden's lead in most states is pretty hefty. Turnout might disproportionately drop among older voters, but I don't think to that extent.

I get what Joe is saying "on the table" is not the same as supporting.

Bernie is really being irritating. It is so much more obvious because there are not 5 other people shouting

Joe is really sounding professional

The SS statements are utterly misleading. Joe did not author the bankruptcy bill.

This isn’t going to help Bernie at all.

to make adjustments regarding cost of living and so forth. There are different issues involved.
I've seen people claim it's a "cut" if it does not get increased when there is no cost of living increase.

Sanders has Our Revolution, a PAC he personally started, and they don't disclose most donors. It's not all that different from a SuperPAC other than the name.

But I liked the tone and demeanor of both men. Maybe I missed a lot of shit that came before that but at least I liked what I heard coming outta both candidates mouths for that short time.
