Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumKeep in mind . . .
I love Pete, but then I'll see Warren and I am totally inspired. Then I see a Bernie clip and OMG! Same for Kamala, and on and on. Even all those other candidates you'd have a hard time rattling off, like Inslee. When you hear them talk about their passion, they all have such great vision.
I have seen it said over the years that we are blessed with talent on our side, but this season is so unbelievable that it is true. I think I'd be really proud whichever Democrat becomes president. They are all inspiring.

(58,785 posts)waiting and watching would seem the most intelligent and thoughtful course. This is going to go on for a long while, and over time almost all will fall by the way.

I'm supporting Jay, I've met him many times, and I've watched him for the last 26 years. That said, my biggest driver is to make sure he has some recognition nationally.

(14,604 posts)Dumb, bellicose, a bully, a cheat, a liar and really poor on policy.
The Republicans have been dumbing themselves down with their anti-intellectualism since one of Ike's surrogates called Adlai Stevenson an egghead clear back in the fifties.
I believe, guillaumeb, that Trump may be the most highly evolved Republican to ever have lived. Possibly with the exception of Louis Gohmert and others in the 'freedom caucus.' Like that one a-hole that was questioning Kerry the other day about climate change.
These folks ARE Americus-Republicanicus, the knuckle-dragging Neanderthals of modernity.

(4,079 posts)Frankly, I think it's a way over-hyped description, egged on by the likes of Chuck Todd and Tweety. But still...we have to keep it to policy debates. That's what matters.

I am at 3 favorites as well, and looking forward to the debates. My primary isn't for almost a year, so have time to weigh options.

(2,012 posts)at Boulder's World Affairs Conference at Univ of Colorado. She was terrific. stood up for every policy and concern that Dems believe in. I have followed her for a long time and Minnesota and the nation have been well represented by Sen. Klobuchar. Down to earth, working class background, astute and well versed in every subject: education and support of students, health care, international affairs, diversity and inequities, immigration, climate change and our environment, economics, worked well with McCain and other legislators. We're fortunate to have these outstanding candidates wanting to save our nation and our democracy.
