AOC inspires me

Listening to her comments over the past week, I remember why I admire her so much. I really believe that progressive Democrats who work within the party are one of our greatest strengths. I'm a boring old moderate, filled with thoughts of civil rights and equality, and I tend not to find any real policy disagreements between myself and Sanders and AOC and progressives in general. I have some tactical disagreements, however.

Anyway, every time I see her or hear her I am glad. I'm happy that she's in our politics and in our party. Even when we disagree on tactics and candidates!

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

And be much more successful by working within the party instead of bashing from the outside.

I hope she does. We need a young energetic realistic progressive voice.

How is she doing in her re-election campaign?
I do not believe that her constituents are pleased with her performance or abilities. She's described as being "absent" and "hands off" when it comes to performing the tasks that the voters expected her to do. I know the Amazon-thing was a big disappointment.

All I'm saying is that I personally think she would do well to try and emulate Sharice Davids, another freshman Representative who focuses HER attention on her constituents rather than her own public profile. Ms. Davids has two working offices (not just a mail-drop and answering machine) and spends more time in her own state/district than bebopping around the country trying to hang on to someone's coattails. Her priorities are clearly centered on doing her job in a way that benefits those who elected her.

She is smart and charismatic. With this kind of discipline, she'll be a star.

I think she saw that her comments about Nancy Pelosi were not well taken. I also think she has seen what has happened to BS bashing the party right and left, it is not a winning strategy outside of her congressional district.
