I'm seeing some comments on Twitter showing an interesting, more positive take on Sanders' speech,

.@berniesanders is giving @JoeBiden questions in advance of the Sunday debate so Biden knows what he has to address to get Bernie and his voters on his side. This is a very smart and mature statement. Good for him!

Bernie Sanders is delivering a speech that translates into “I have lost this race but will continue through next week to push Joe Biden on policy.”

That’s an odd one but isn’t all that bad.

Could actually lead to something of a public conciliation in Sunday’s debate.

Note: the Hoarse Whisperer still heard a lot he didn't like in Sanders' speech, but thought it was the least objectionable speech he'd ever heard from him during this campaign, as explained in the thread starting here:

and ended with "What is Joe going to do about XXX"... like every ill in the nation is now Joe's responsibility... or even the President's responsibility.

And I question a lot of the stats he was throwing around.

In addition, the more "progressive" platform is not winning: witness not only Sanders but Warren. As James Clyburn said: "People don't want free stuff. They want accessibility and affordability."
