Yes!

I am not a candidate X supporter, but that was a great speech that Bernie gave!

Having a rational debate about policy positions enables fair competition in a democracy.

And he even gave all the questions ahead of time!!

So all Joe has to do is answer them and it may even be a way for Bernie to exit afterward, knowing Joe has established good answers.

What a great way for the party to come together on the issues that matter.

Go Unity!

primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

There is nothing laudable about him.

You seem to be engaging in something that won't help the party, whatever it is.

important issues. Instead, he chose to take a "it's all about Bernie" stance. There is nothing sincere or benevolent about Bernie or his tribe. They are self-centered and we'd be better off courting moderate independents and unhappy Republicans to make up for the CERTAINTY that they would always abandon the party should we not give in to their demands. Good riddance to bad garbage.

Unity? That was an insult to everyone in the party, and completely ignores actual facts, like turnout, and youth vote.

I hope Joe decides to ask him a few questions about his record too. Let the people know the real Sanders that he's been hiding.

It sounds very negative, not a discussion of how to refine a necessary nuanced policy.

(pretending that his divisive announcement today is in fact unifying, is the very picture of irrational and bias-conforming thought processes)

He needs to suspend his campaign for the good of the country, before his legacy goes completely in the toilet.

Right. Because even though actual voters are overwhelmingly approving of Joe and rejecting Bernie, Joe's last real hurdle is Bernie's approval.

This debate will help to refine policy answers or establish that Joe's already got a good platform. And then Bernie can exit. He can endorse Biden and his most ardent followers will follow suit. This is actually great news.

That is a crazy question. Of course not!!!

Anyone on DU, who doesn't answer, you ought to assume they think it's a rhetorical question when you put it in the context of a point you are making.

Once again, you lost fair and square, Bernie but your only strategy is to now tear down your democratic opponent to weaken them against Trump.

at all kinds of people, as necessarily a good thing. He also seems to be ignoring the fact that it is the voters who are deciding who to vote for, not any sort of "establishment". I do not see that as creating unity.
