DU Poll: What should Joe prioritize in his VP pick?

Complete the sentence...

Besides being well qualified to be president, and also ideally representing diversity (i.e. in color, gender, sexual orientation)... the priority for Biden's VP selection should be to:

14 votes, 2 passes | Time left: Unlimited
help shore up support from the left to help maximize that turnout/enthusiasm in November
11 (79%)
help shore up the voters in the center to maximize appeal to moderates in November
1 (7%)
be from a state that the VP choice could help swing (e.g. someone from Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, Florida, or Texas)
2 (14%)

if needed. That VP should be someone who is at least half the supportive VP Biden was to Obama.
The VP should be politically aligned with Biden period. His cabinet can be a team of rivals. His VP
should not be a rival politically or personally,

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

a skillset and who can take over the office if needed. We are all from the left and the enemy is Trump. If someone has to be excited before voting against the evil of his regime, then it implies that they are comfortable living under it and withe the suffering and fear it brings to people. I'm so done with splitting hairs over ideology and hand holding.

I'm not sure we can afford to be so purist in our appeal. We can use the votes even of people who are not so civic minded and need some more motivation to "bother" voting.

To get the votes they'll need to win with, and campaigning talent.
