7000' elevation...in the middle of the biggest Ponderosa pine forest in the world...and we average 100" of snow every year.

The air is real thin at this altitude...so whenever I make an idiotic post please just attribute it to oxygen deprivation.

We usually get 4 days a summer over 90...never hit 100 yet in recorded history.

I have a brother who lives in southern Arizona in Gold Canyon very near the Superstition Mountains.

I laugh at him in the summer when he's sweating his ass off and he returns the favor in winter when I'm freezing mine. Been a pretty mild winter this year, though...not very cold nor much snow.

me of visiting my dad in '98 in Casa Grande for a couple weeks moving from Hawaii(when I lived here the first time).. on my way to live in upper state NY.. more like central.. Little Falls, NY by the Erie Canal.

It was summer and 98 degrees and no air conditioning and one fan.

I asked my friend in Hawaii to mail me the fan I left behind.. It was white hot and lots of sweating going on. lol

having gone to school in Ithaca. Went back to that region a few years ago to help an old college buddy living near the Catskills who needed some help on a wind turbine research project he was doing for the state. Lovely region of the country with many quaint towns. Had forgotten how bad the bugs back East were though...LOL. Nice thing about the Arizona high country...not too many bugs.

The ironic thing is, my old buddy loves Trump. Here he was trying to develop new wind turbine concepts and then turns around and votes for a guy who absolutely despises them and thinks they cause brain cancer. We've since had a falling out over politics and haven't communicated for some time. Not an uncommon occurrence these days all over the country. I'm sure many folks here have had the same problem with family and friends.

Everything Trump Touches Dies.

scenery and rolling hills before you even get to the Adirondacks.. which is where I lived for 12 years.. right at the base. Colder than hell in the winters that lasted forever.

That is ironic your former friend's into wind turbines and his leader hates them 'cause he's stupid. Too bad about the falling out over trump.. he must be very proud of him now.
