It WAS touching and mighty Presidential! He really looked, acted, and sounded the part. Compassion, and class.

How’d he put it? “...bringing decency, dignity, and honor back to the White House. That’s my ultimate goal.”

He forgot to add “honesty.” But I heard lots of it in his voice anyway.

DAMN I hope he wins.

This is the first time that I can say that I see him as the President he will be. That usually happens after someone becomes the nominee - or at least when no formerly viable rival is running.

Here, I suspect it might be that I, like many, need a leader I trust as we face serious issues. In 2008, it was conceivable that even though Democrats were favored that McCain could win -- until we saw both of them respond to the economic crisis. That was when I was 100% sure there would be a President Obama. The virus is even more personally threatening. My siblings and I - all healthy and between 58 and 69 - were a bit surprised to be "the elderly" and worry more about our 90 plus year old parents. I suspect that people far younger than me are unsettled as their parents or grandparents are threatened.

We have seen how badly Trump is failing on this. Yesterday's speech and a promised upcoming speech in Delaware show or will show how Biden can do in that role. I don't know how Sanders gets a comparable opportunity after he went silent yesterday.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
