What would they like to see in order to help feel better about supporting Joe Biden against Mr. Trump?

I think an absolute assurance that their ideas will still be represented in the Biden campaign would go a long way.

A lot Sanders supporters don't hate Biden, they fear he won't fight for the things they hold most dear.

Despite the crap on twitter, most Sanders supporters are very good people with very good beliefs. They are just afraid those beliefs will be compromised away. Find a way to reassure them that isn't the case, and I think they will come on board.

That said, I'm not sure exactly HOW to reassure them of such a thing.

primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

But it needs to be done. Joe Biden is very, very good at outreach and he's very sincere and empathetic. Perhaps he can meet with Sen. Sanders (if and when he suspends), Representative Ocasio-Cortez, and others to hear their concerns. I think there's a way to integrate Biden's fundamental values and ideas with the platform of the youth voters in a coalition-building manner.

As long as they don't go negative and keep it positive, they should have the right to stay in a little longer just to be absolutely sure.

I feel bad for Sanders supporters.

I've been in their shoes. It is an awful feeling.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
