a graceful dignified detente' between Biden and Bernie Sanders. I really want the latter to be able to claim some sense of victory (compromise negotiated in a policy of similar interest for example) so that there are not these lingering resentments between the two, his campaign or his supporters.

I really want that. I want Sanders to retain his dignity and for it to be a respectful "meeting of the minds"...I hope that is possible. I'm not suggesting it not play out a bit longer, but assuming we do not see some totally unpredicted event that shakes up the entire race once again, I just hope it happens sooner than later.

after tomorrow he needs to end his divisive and destructive campaign. Seeing those Bernie Bros disrupt Biden's rally in Detroit a few minutes ago was painful to see. Bernie needs to end it quickly and get behind Biden as many of the former candidates have. If he doesn't join in the unity out of spite then everyone will know the real Bernie - that he is only running for himself.

Mon Mar 9, 2020, 07:56 PM
Mar 2020
March 10
Idaho 20ev Biden No polls but state Democrats unanimously endorsed Biden
Michigan 125ev Biden +22.6%
Mississippi 36ev Biden +55.0%
Missouri 68ev Biden +18.6%
North Dakota 14ev Biden does better head to head against Trump
Washington 89ev Biden +2.0%

March 17
Arizona 67ev Biden +28.0%
Florida 219ev Biden +37.5%
Illinois 155ev Biden +29.0% (538.com)
Ohio 136ev Biden +8.0% (538.com)

March 24
Georgia 105ev Biden +18.5%

National Polls Biden +16.0%

Bernie is only competitive for 123 of 1034 delegates.

He's going to be way behind at the end of March with not enough available delegates to reasonably make up the difference.

From Wiki...

RealClearPolitics aggregates polls for presidential and congressional races into averages, known as the RealClearPolitics average, which are widely cited by media outlets. However, some statisticians say that it is sometimes misleading to average results from multiple polls. When Nate Silver of rival site FiveThirtyEight claimed RealClearPolitics.com was rigging its averages to favor Senator John McCain and other Republicans, McIntyre denied having a conservative bent, stating, "We're running a business. We have no interest in screwing around with that for partisan purposes". Silver later backed away from the claim and said the two sites had a friendly rivalry and grudging respect for each other.

In 2016, Republicans performed 1.7% better than the final RealClearPolitics average, and Republicans performed 3.3% better than the site's average in 2014. In the 2016 presidential election, the final RealClearPolitics average margin overestimated Democrat Hillary Clinton's popular vote performance by 1.3%. The final electoral college prediction map produced by RealClearPolitics predicted that she would narrowly win the election with 272 electoral votes. However, she lost the election to Republican Donald Trump in spite of winning the popular vote. However, the site underestimated the Democratic vote in the 2018 congressional elections by just over one percentage point.

In the past they've underestimated Republican results and have both over and underestimated Democratic ones. Seems pretty legit to me. Not like that Rasmussen hack.

I sent her a very civil email one night begging her to keep an open mind during the impeachment trial. The VERY NEXT MORNING I spot her on TV doing her "you're a liberal hack!" schtick. Later that day I wrote her another email that was not nearly as nice and ripped her a new one. That same night or the next day I donated a few bucks to Mark Kelly...LOL.

Arizona is one of those states that Biden has a very real chance of winning and helping Kelly at the same time. I think had it been Bernie we would probably not only lose the state but have very little chance of flipping a Senate seat either.

Joe may be a real nice twofer here in AZ. Best shot, anyway, and that's all you can ask.
