Why would Warren endorse a guy that told her a woman could not win the Presidency?

Why would her supporters move their support to that same guy?

That boggles my mind.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

prophecy about it. Maybe Bernie is lovably Aspergerish and such remarks can be seen as just tactless by a guy who calls em as he sees em, but to me, one of the responsibilities and skills that a politician ought to have a very tight hold on, is the effect of his or her actions, including speech. And I don't think I would be going out on limb to say that this responsibility encompasses accounting for the speech acts and their effects of those who support the politician in question.

Polls show them splitting roughly 50/50. They know all of the people involved and what they stand for. I don't think a debate or two is going to make much difference there.

She'll be treated very well at the convention. Why wouldn't she be? The only way I see it being a problem is if she endorsed Biden now and Bernie made a miracle comeback. Then, some of his supporters might treat her poorly as they did John Lewis and others in 2016. Otherwise, I think she'll have a prominent role there.

The current prediction is 88% that Biden will have a majority of delegates before the convention and 538 says that the prediction is probably a little conservative. If Biden finishes this off in the coming weeks, focus will shift to November and the Warren/Sanders brouhaha will be long forgotten.

I doubt either Biden or Warren is going to do anything to cause friction in that time, reports of their relationship during the Obama administration notwithstanding. It's not 2014 anymore. Sanders might try to introduce some token friction about "rigging" or whatever, but I think there's going to be little or no tolerance for the kind of nonsense that happened in 2016. This election is too important.

And they were and may still be friends, despite that conversation. Truth is, a lot of people have expressed that same concern unfortunately. And he said it to her in a private conversation that she chose to make public - if he had been out there publicly saying it that would be a lot worse, IMO.

Also, she has a long history of being at odds with Biden that I didn't even know about until recently. I knew she was a thorn in the Obama administration's side pushing for more relief for homeowners and against the banks, but I didn't know until last week that she and Biden go back even further than that, to when she testified in front of his committee as a senator in the 1990's. It makes a lot of sense, given that he is from Delaware and she has a long history of fighting the big banks.

Which I think Bernie will do if Joe has a plurality at the end of the primaries. He was pretty explicit about that on Rachel the other night.

My guess is she stays neutral until the end. TBH, the treatment she's received from Bernie's online supporters might be more of an excuse than anything. Biden is heavily favored at this point and if she endorses Bernie she'll weaken her standing in the party.

Every. Damned. One. Of. Them. Has. Said. Something. Nasty. To. Or. About. Every. Other. One.

It doesn't matter if a politician is a Thuglican (incredible amounts of name calling, conspiracy theories about daddies taking part in the Kennedy assassination, you name it) or a Dem (accusations of misogyny or racism, cutting remarks about prosecutorial careers, attacks on integrity...). They all smack each other hard, and in the end they all set it aside to pull for the team, even if it seems impossible or downright stupid.

If, when the time comes, she feels Bernie is the better candidate, you better bet she'll endorse. She knows what the stakes are. Just like Bernie worked his tush off to help Hillary get elected last time 'round.
