Would you vote for Bernie?

I posted this in response to another thread with respect to Bernie:

He was my mayor once and I supported him. But I will never again after his antics in 2016. I KNOW that I am not alone, and I’m a progressive and a life-long Dem. What does that say about Bernie’s chances with anti-Trump Republicans or independents?

Maybe I’d hold my nose and vote for him to get rid of Trump, but a Sanders Presidency would be another 4-yr disaster and we’d lose any chance at taking the Senate back. Sanders needs to return to Vermont and continue serving in the Senate. If he actually cared about the Country he’d without question serve as a Democrat rather than as an Independent. I’d like to see someone ask now if he would do that. I’d like to see him squirm to avoid answering the question.

Forget any unenforceable pledge on DU or elsewhere you may have made to vote for the eventual nominee, I truly wonder what people here would do if Bernie becomes the nominee.

If your response is “none of the above,” what would you do?

To try to require someone to vote, no less vote for a particular candidate or party. Last I checked, you have a First Amendment right to vote, or not vote, and a right to vote for a candidate of your choosing. And how is the pledge going to be enforced? I’ve talked to plenty of Dems not on this board who have indicated that they would consider writing in a candidate rather than cast a vote for Bernie. This is a fair question and it’s the elephant in the room.

Do I like Sanders? Not one bit, but I will vote for him if he's the nominee. For the record, I'm not thrilled about Biden either. I think that these two guys are too old and should have stayed on the sides supporting other candidates. Sander is not even a Democrat, and his abrasive personality and policies will not go well in a general election. Biden is an affable guy, but a gaffe machine who at times says the stupidest things.

Regardless, anyone on our side would be a better option than the malevolent troll currently in the WH.

Then are you enough on the ball to avoid violating the TOS.

There’s a lot of room between holding ones nose and enthusiasm so I assume that was behind the people selecting other options.
