They should talk ASAP, and if they both think it is the best option, they should move on it ASAP.

Abrams could put a red state in play which Harris doesn’t. Harris has a lot of baggage with progressives from her time as a prosecutor which Abrams doesn’t. Plus after her attacks on Biden during the debates some will cast her as a hypocritical opportunist. Abrams has all of Harris’ positives with none of the negatives.

Her defense of Bloomberg caught my attention.

Abrams has not endorsed Bloomberg, but she did choose to defend his huge and
unprecedented campaign spending Monday on The View.

to be spreading the financial love amongst Democratic projects (her project wasn't the only one to receive help from Bloomberg). Would people be happier if she had turned the money down ? And she didn't have to endorse him either.

I've seen Biden supporters suggest Bloomberg quit the race and pour money into a pro Biden superpac (as he should). If Bloomberg is willing to do that, why not ?

Harris is a US senator and was a statewide official of the largest state before that. Abrams was minority leader of a legislative chamber in a middle-sized state.

People will be able to see Harris as capable of taking over as president on Day One, if necessary. Abrams not so much.

Joe will be 78 on Inauguration Day. He needs a running mate who is seen as a plausible president from Day One.

Yes, Trump seemingly lowered the bar to the ground, but I think a lot of people want to raise it back up a bit.

After a bright start. That's not a huge gap IMO, to the energy Stacy is bringing. Yes she didn't win the Governor's race against a cheating crook, but she has grown in stature since. Most importantly, she will compliment the rust belt influence of Biden, with an energising appeal of Abrams in the South.
