He was elected 2 months after 9/11 and the ad says aftermath. I still remember Rudy wanting to cancel the election because "the city needs me." Ugh.

The hard work of getting the city running again WAS done by Bloomberg since he took office less than 4 months after 9/11. You are desperately nit-picking with your claim that he is lying.

The trauma was over a lot more days than a few days after 9/11.

The point is Bloomberg did the heavy lifting for the city in both the aspect of comforting grieving and dying people, and rebuilding the city and getting it's world leadership status back.

I simply don't agree with you on his ad, I believe that his claims are on target.

Heck, I have a flyer here on my office desk from the Bloomberg campaign where it says he helped lift New York from the tragedy of 9/11

Edit: From his campaign website

"Lifting New York City
In 2001, just weeks after the terrorist attacks of 9/11, Mike Bloomberg was elected mayor of New York City in his first run for public office.

Mike and his team rallied New Yorkers and led the city through a new era of progress and prosperity – writing one of the great comeback stories in American history."

This criticism is semantic nonsense. I’m not a Bloomberg fan, but be reasonable. Rebuilding lower Manhattan from January 2002 onwards was certainly a big part of guiding NYC “through 9/11” — where “9/11” stands for the whole traumatic period and not just the day of.

....putting his cronies in charge of the lmdc. Guys like Dan doctororoff. Who profited off of the destruction.

And the shoddy practices Bloomberg 's rush to redevelop GZ caused the Deutsche Bank fire a few years later, killing 2 ( and later a third) more FDNY firefighters.

Google the village voice journalism on it. Unless Bloomberg scrubbed the great work they did off the web.

stuff on the guy. He started up a lab company and was Deputy Mayor under Bloomberg, that doesn't bother me because many Mayors choose people they trust as deputies.

Doctoroff has good credentials, Harvard educated, a successful entrepreneur, a philanthropist.

It is easy to claim that stuff got scrubbed from the Net, that claim is as old as the Net itself, but the fact is no information that I found remotely supports your claims.

Bloomberg's response?

Call fallen NYPD Det Zadroga a junkie. Accuse the fallen officer of being a drug addict and that's why he died. Rubbed salt in Zadroga s family's wounds instead of thanking and comforting them.

Today, no thanks to rePUKES , we have the ZADROGA ACT.

When is Bloomberg going to be called o. His 9/11 LIES.
