3. Warren's and Sanders' drawings are roughly equal.

The other fails completely it looks to me.

Why are any Dems getting so vitriolic about specifics of paying for a highly desirable goal. The GOP never does this. They make essentially the same case as Bernie relatively speaking. Their argument is always the same. The costs will be offset by returns (in their case revenue to the government, in Sanders’ case lower cost to individuals which equals more money in people’s pockets). The freak out over details at this point is absurd. You/we are letting the media control the narrative and then adding fuel to it. Does the GOP ever do this?!

5. It's not a goal, it's a promise. A promise Bernie can't keep, and is still running on.

Apparently, a lot of Bernie's campaign is based on not differentiating between promises and goals. And enough people don't see the difference between the two.

Sanders at least has always been true to his words and will, in my estimation, fight for what he promises. He also is, contrary to the opinion of some here, a pragmatist and has shown that throughout his career ... capturing gains that he could when and via means he could. And he did that quite masterfully, particularly while in the House, using the amendment process.

Enough people do in fact see the difference. We all know Sanders won't get everything he wants, but he will start the process fighting for it, not capitulating ground on the basis of so-called "realism/pragmatism". "Pragmatism" is and has been a one way street -- to the right for the past 40+ years.

13. We are talking tens of trillions of dollars to pay for what you admit is unattainable.

Just to start the process. And that's the best case scenario. The worst case scenario is what you described as "enough people do in fact see the difference". Sadly, the outcome of this will not likely be what you expect, but the opposite of what you expect. If enough people see the difference between goals and promises, Trump will remain in power and will consolidate it, and the first victims will be the people who can't tell the difference between the two.
