But, in my view, what Rangappa says is correct.

(25,426 posts)Trump was elected as much for his celebrity (game show host) as his racism and ignorance and "success".
Sanders is probably as much celebrity as politician at this point.
That being said, as noted, other categories can be verified for the check.

(256 posts)It's not a secret that Russia targeted Bernie supporters in 2016 directly or indirectly to depress turnout for Clinton.
I imagine if Russia is attempting to boost Bernie perhaps they think he gives Trump the best chance to win. I wholeheartedly disagree. So while it's not a conspiracy to say the FBI has generally been unfriendly to left wingers and left wing causes over its lifetime, it makes sense for Bernie to disavow Russia and any meddling, regardless of the FBI's track record.
But certainly one guy on Twitter who supports Sanders represents all us Sanders supporters.
We all want one thing most of all - Trump to lose!

Not sure what you want Sanders to do if two people on social media are having an argument. He doesn't have the time to police each conversation. There will always be extremist supporters when you have a growing following. It is not going to be pretty and neat and neatly parceled into PC divisions whetted and triangulated to fit the centrist world view. Be prepared to let go and enjoy the noise. You will find things that you like and can get behind. But not every one in the party needs to have the same views or even agree with each other all the time. We need the energy and involvement to get rid of Trump and his rabid base.

(189 posts)drawbridge! No, not before you release the hounds, you eeediots! This centrist Dem/moderate Republican freakout is a bizarre thing to watch. Bernie has demanded vocally and forcefully that Russia stay out of our elections. Yet all at once it's 1972 and Bernie is George McGovern, but now it's the post-Cold War and Putin's pulling Bernie's strings, funding him, idk sent him a wedding gift of vodka in the Soviet Union during Glasnost? now it's the Bernie Bro's are nasty and a bunch of Socialist yet Nazi Brown Shirts who mistrust our brave CIA deathsquads. The primary crack haze is thick tonight.
