Elizabeth Warren’s line was funny; Joe Biden

Just this weekend, an acquaintance who could be described as politically apathetic at best (aggressively apolitical might be closer to the mark), told me she hoped a woman would be the Democratic nominee so she could vote for one against Trump. I told her that here in Florida you have to be both registered to vote (she's never bothered in the past) and registered with a Democratic party affiliation (aligning with a party has "horrified" her previously) to vote in the Democratic primary. Damn near spit out my teeth when she told me she registered to vote as a Democrat last year. He's mobilizing what I thought was a lost cause. That alone gives me hope.

She is quick witted and very smart, with lots of information crammed in her brain. Of course, Trump cannot debate anyone on policy because his policy is always make me important and rich, but he is extremely effective at the name calling and turning the conversation to things he can convince voters are personal flaws in his opponents. As we saw, his treatment of his Republican opponents in 2016 was disgraceful with virtually no substance to his debate points.

I think Warren has the capability to present her policies clearly and quickly, but she also has the ability to jab back at Trump personally. And that’s where he needs to be hit. We know his rabid base likes his policies, but so do others who are on the fence about him personally. We need someone who can fight that fight and do it with humor. Trump hates being humiliated, and he is less likely to keep his cool in such circumstances.
