Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumBS man -- Jeff Weaver on MSNBC right now. I TURNED OFF THAT LYING PIECE of you know what
I can't stand Jeff Weaver or Nina Turner. As far as I am concerned, they are liars. They both lied and their destructive comments really hurt Hillary. Weaver will lie about ALL the other Dems in the primary now and I will NEVER listen to him.

BS, you have some really awful people in your campaign staff.

(32,640 posts)conspiracy theory about MSNBC or CNN being "surrogates for other candidates."
Just because commondreams, Jacobin and The Intercept are clearly pushing Bernie doesn't mean that the actual non-partisan media journalists that are subject to editorial journalistic standards on MSNBC or CNN are pushing other candidates. I mean, if anything Chris Hayes barely hides his support of Sanders...
That's pretty much what FoxNews viewers say about any media that isn't FoxNews being just as far to the left as FoxNews is to the right, and surrogates for any Trump opponent.
But do go on...

(32,640 posts)Under the Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act, an entity directly or indirectly established by a federal candidate or officeholder is not allowed to solicit, receive, direct, transfer, or spend funds in connection with an election for Federal office unless the funds are subject to the limitations, prohibitions, and reporting requirements of federal law.
According to Our Revolutions tax returns showing contribution amounts but not contributor names, data compiled and first reported by the Associated Press, from 2016 to 2018 Our Revolution raised almost $1 million dollars from contributors who gave in excess of the applicable $5,000 contribution limit, including multiple contributions of between $100,000 and $300,000. Our Revolution has not disclosed any of its contributors to the FEC, as required by federal campaign finance law.
Americans expect and deserve to have our campaign finance laws enforced and they expect political organizations to abide by the law, regardless of their political views, said Paul Seamus Ryan, Common Cause vice president for policy and litigation. The facts surrounding Our Revolution, including its founding by Sen. Sanders, its receipt of six-figure contributions, its failure to disclose donors to the FEC, and its political spending in Iowa and elsewhere, point to a clear violation of the federal soft money ban. Common Cause is a nonpartisan organization and we work to hold power accountable regardless of party affiliation or policy positions. It is critically important that the soft money ban be enforced, or outside groups founded by candidates will become a commonplace means to evade contribution limits and disclosure requirements.
You're welcome.

(32,640 posts)The audience reacted vocally when he was asked a second time to answer the question about what he would do about white supremacy, and he evaded with "I marched with MLK. I endorsed Jessie Jackson for president in 1988."
As if that would have been tolerated as anything but "some of my best friends are black!" from any of the other candidates - who which, BTW actually showed the respect of preparing for questions that the audience would likely be asking of them.
Surprised you didn't watch the video from the forum, but are commenting on how the media got it wrong.
And then I listened to Nina's words before commenting on them.
So, yes, Nina was not being honest when she smeared those WOC who held his feet to the fire for "booing marching with MLK."
You're welcome.

(32,640 posts)Perhaps it's been awhile since you saw it, and forgot.
Sanders gave a general response referring to Trump and demagoguery, but he went back to his standard lines about universal programs and comprehensive immigration reform, seemingly missing the purpose of the question. When Allison followed up, explaining that the question was about white supremacist violence, Sanders referenced his attendance at the March on Washington in the 1960s and his support for Jesse Jackson during the 1988 presidential campaign. It was clear the audience did not appreciate his deflection, as some in the audience booed and others groaned.

(5,811 posts)Bernie Sanders trying his hand at #ProjectiveLying In response to Joe Biden's healthcare policy position, Bernie said his proposal would cost over 50 trillion dollars over the next decade.
Of course this is false but the media did not address it. No one wants #TraitorTrump re-elected more than our media. Why? Because people are NOT smart enough to change the channel. They seem to think being woke is about giving attention to the thing they supposedly don't want.
We may doomed by our own stupidity and immaturity.
