Joe Biden Snaps at NBC's Savannah Guthrie For Hunter Questions: 'You Don't Know What You're Talking

All I can say is good for him! So sick of the media parroting GOP talking points that they know are lies.

Joe Biden Snaps at NBC’s Savannah Guthrie For Hunter Questions: ‘You Don’t Know What You’re Talking About!’

By Ken MeyerFeb 3rd, 2020, 8:41 am

Former Vice President Joe Biden seemed to get short-tempered with NBC’s Savannah Guthrie when asked about his son, Hunter Biden’s, dealings with Ukraine.

When Guthrie caught up with Biden on Monday, she noted the “irony” that more people know about Hunter’s work with the Burisma gas company now, thanks to President Donald Trump’s Ukraine scandal and his subsequent impeachment. This led to Biden saying that “no one has found anything wrong with [Hunter’s] dealings with Ukraine, except it sets a bad image.”

“Well, do you agree that it sets a bad image?” Guthrie asked. “Do you think it was wrong for him to take that position knowing it was really because the company wanted access to you.”

“That’s not true,” Biden snapped. “You’re saying things you don’t know what you’re talking about! No one’s said that! Who said that?!”

1. Hunter Biden joined that board after the previous owner's investigation had both started and stalled out
2. Hunter Biden is a grown person who can make their own decisions
3. Joe Biden was enacting official US policy backed by the EU, IMF and intra-Ukraine anti-corruption groups
4. Regardless of Burisma's motives for taking on Hunter Biden, it was not illegal for him to take the position.

Bonus Bullet Point: Republicans at the time signed a letter backing US policy in removal of the prosecutor. So in order for the Biden conspiracy to play out, you have to have the EU, IMF, Ukranian anti-corruption groups, and Republicans at the time all in on protecting Hunter Biden. In short, it's stupid.

Guthrie was making an unfounded accusation here. I have seen no evidence that Burisma hired Hunter for the purpose of getting access to Joe Biden.

He simply needs to provide a matter-of-fact, straight forward response and then turn the question around by citing all of nepotism and corruption surrounding 45’s offspring and their gritting businesses. Otherwise the media will continue to ask again and again. One thing they won’t do is continue asking if Biden keeps pressing them on 45’s kids. The media could not care less about that story.

count on them doing that because they won't. Biden will get hammered on this by the republicans just to get that reaction from him and the media will show selected tidbits. Defending his kid is one thing, getting angry is another and a gift to the republicans and the media.

that it did create a perception on the part of some in Ukraine that Burisma gained some access and it bothers him because it leads to questioning his integrity.

He needs to make the point that nothing HE or the Obama administration did was changed because of Hunter's position. A point that was lost by getting angry and defending Hunter.

I assume he knew questions about his son would happen if he ran, but I doubt he saw it being that extreme or that it would lead to questions distorting his role where he was genuinely pushing Ukraine to deal with corruption.

I wish someone on his team would suggest words to answer this issue that he could comfortably deliver that go beyond Hunter did nothing wrong. It might be he would be in comfortable even saying that it was poor judgement and looked bad because it might hurt a fragile son who he loves.
