Related: About this forumSo Michael Moore speaks at a Sanders rally
and attacks the Democratic Party. Not Trump or Republicans in the senate but the Democratic Party. With friends like these we dont need enemies.

He actively worked against Hillary, and we got Trump.
Michael Moore, Susan Sarandon, the "squad".... they're doing their best to get Trump re-elected.

One has to have an ego that can handle criticism. Most of the time that isn't the situation.

(38,687 posts)"In a 1969 essay for the Freeman called Cancer, Disease and Society, Sanders, then 28, contended that conformity caused cancer by breaking down the human spirit and inflicting emotional trauma."
"What do you think it really means when 3 doctors, after intense study, write that of the 26 patients (who developed breast cancer) below 51 (years of age), one was sexually adjusted. It means, very bluntly, that the manner in which you bring up your daughter with regard to sexual attitudes may very well determine whether or not she will develop breast cancer, among other things."
"How much guilt, nervousness have you imbued in your daughter with regard to sex? If she is 16, 3 years beyond puberty and the time which nature set forth for childbearing, and spent a night out with her boyfriend, what is your reaction? Do you take her to a psychiatrist because she is maladjusted, or a prostitute, or are you happy that she has found someone with whom she can share love? Are you concerned about HER happiness, or about your reputation in the community."
These articles were written more than 40 years ago, Sanders spokesman Michael Briggs said in an email to Mother Jones. Like most people, Bernies views on many issues have changed over time.

And here we were told Bernie was always consistent.

Heh, I read through the thread wondering if anyone would post what Moore had actually said, but nope ... they were all too busy ripping him based on the OP comments spin or some past grievance against him. Michael can be a bit much at times, but Id prefer to form my own impression of his comments.

(7,113 posts)Mostly he just blathers pointlessly, but about 24 min. in, he begins relitigating 2016, speculating that Bernie could've won states Hillary lost.
More troubling for me was at about 11 min. in during a phoned message from Bernie himself, where he says his objective is to"take on the entire political establishment," including the Democratic Party.
That sounds like he plans to remake our party in his own image the way Trump has done the GOP.

(82,383 posts)They are a minority, they will lose, and they whine about it all day. Bernie did not win the last primary and he won't win this one. Note how entitled they are. They don't need to convince actual voters - all they have to do is whine that it's "rigged."

(9,953 posts)...if Black and Hispanic Democrats supported Booker and Castro, they'd be on the stage. What's the DNC supposed to do - ask people who have dropped out of the race to get on the debate stage? Maybe ask some of the "all White" group of Democrats Moore refers to, to leave the stage? Maybe ask Bernie and Biden to drop out because they've had a chance, while Booker and Castro have not? I'm disappointed in Moore...
