The orange menace can get out his base. Can we Democrats exceed their efforts, schemes, dirty dealing, hacking, tabloid style smearing, voter suppression and Russian hacks/money?

I think we can. I'm willing to give it my all.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:

Despite the close, high numbers on enthusiasm for each of these presidential years (71, 68, 69, and 70 per cent; 2016 is an anomaly, since it was not a presidential election year), the actual voter turnout in 2004, 2008, 2012, and 2016 was (with numbers for voting age population, followed by numbers who voted):

2004 219,553,000 122,349,000 55.7%
2008 229,945,000 131,407,000 58.2%
2012 235,248,000 129,235,000 54.9%
2016 250,056,000 138,847,000 55.7%

Since the low enthusiasm turned out, uncharacteristically, to translate to higher rather than lower actual turnout. Thanks, Trump!

The higher the turnout is, the better for Dems.
