A lot of people don't like Bernie Sanders.

A lot of the people who’ve worked with Bernie in the House and Senate don’t like Bernie.

A lot of the people who’ve donated to those same people in the House and Senate don’t like Bernie either.

When a person is newly elected to Congress they are told to spend half of their work day chatting with wealthy donors who, we can probably assume, don’t like Bernie Sanders.

The television personalities who have shows on the cable news networks work for bosses who, for the most part, don’t like Bernie Sanders. You won’t see much love for Bernie Sanders on the corporate owned TV stations.

And yet, Bernie Sanders has a surprising amount of support from voters across the country.

In the Democratic Primary for the 2016 election I was blown away by the amount of support Bernie got. Going into it, I wouldn’t have guessed he he’d get even half half of the votes that he eventually got.

I don’t think that it is surprising that all this support for Bernie (and others like Bernie) is causing some “concern” amongst the folks who don’t like Bernie.

I supported Bernie's run as an alternative to Hillary, who I thought would be a long shot against any halfway credible GOP nominee, due to the 30 years head start they had on smearing her.

When it was clear that he would lose, I fully expected him to exercise leadership over his supporters to convince them to support the nominee, Clinton, as enthusiastically as they supported him - stopping Trump was that important.

I met too many "Bernie Bro" types - in real life - who did nothing but denigrate Clinton, refuse to vote for her, and suggest that there wouldn't be that much different if Trump won, after all according to them, Hillary got the nomination by "DNC cheating".

I was literally sick at what I saw. But I thought she would pull it out anyway and it would all be behind us.

Well here we are, and he is preparing to do it again. Once he decided to run again, I knew that he had no remorse or self-reflection, possibly no comprehension of how he influences his followers. And no reason to think he understands and intends to do better this time.

That is my "concern".

I did not like him calling her unqualified.......at the time he couldn’t win the nomination.

My concern is that the negative attacks continue this season once it is clear that one person has a delegate lead that cannot be overcome. At that point, that person is the nominee and the race should end. We all need to support the nominee. Period.

I think his surrogates’ attack tactics have hurt his candidacy. Bernie has strong support from those who believe he will bring the kind of Revolution they want. But what about non-believers? Still don’t see his support grow across the political spectrum, in states we need to win, and among AA voters.

And apparently my financial support won't be needed if he's the nominee, since I'm a wealthy donor. Even though I met him (and Jane) at a "retreat" for wealthy donors.

What I was trying to say was that there are a lot of people who aren’t seeing themselves and their interests respected by the conventional offerings of the Democratic Party. A lot of that has to do with with the outsized influence of wealthy donors.

It’s not surprising that Bernie (and others like Bernie) have a following from folks who have some pretty legitimate concerns about the direction of the Party.

And sure, use your money and influence anyway you see fit.

The only thing many of us can do is vote for the candidate of our choice. It’s kind of amusing that this is so controversial.

And that likeability is based on our perceptions and media presentation.

I will vote in the primary for the candidate I feel has the best overall program.

a lot of people liked (and still like) Donald Trump. People liking a candidate and that candidate being a good choice no longer correlates.
So I'm not sure what the point is here.
