CNN has become a lot more positive towards Biden

A few months ago it seemed like CNN was openly skeptical of Biden, constantly running articles emphasizing his gaffes and predicting his candidacy would fade. Now they are running very positive articles like this one:

https://www.cnn.com/2020/01/20/politics/new-york-times-endorsement-joe-biden/index.html

I wonder what caused this change.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Like they were hoping and no one else got in. Buttigieg and Klobuchar never truly caught fire. He’s the last acceptable choice for them. Warren and Bernie are obviously no good for them. Why they thought an ex-Republican billionaire that tried to take big gulps away was the savior is anyone’s guess.
