Bernie would be afraid of what DeVito might say, unless he knows DeVito knows derogatory info on Sanders. Dumb move IMO. Just tell Danny not to mention some specific things and go on. If there's something specific Bernie is trying to hide, it will come out. It always does.

"Joe Biden Said Hillary Clinton faced Sexism , But That's not going to Happen with Me" ... HuffPost January 3 , 2003 ….In effect Joe warned voters that he has a better chance than Warren of getting elected because he's guy and she's a chick … Why risk it ?

Sanders shouldn't have accused the campaign person of misrepresenting or lying who said that he said a woman couldn't win the presidency. Oh, and Sanders said it in 2018...a bit more recent than 2003.

wait for it... because she's a woman! (I have to agree, that wouldn't be a qualification all by itself for POTUS.)

This has been a Sanders hit theme that just doesn't usually get all this attention. And that it is now is SANDERS' fault. When Sanders called Warren a liar, he made it INaccurate for media to ascribe to possible misunderstanding and different recollections.

....and afterward while looking for a career job (I didn't want my college debt forgiven, but that's another story)

We had a guy in a cage, actually behind plexiglass, who was EXACTLY like Louie DePalma. Personality-wise they could be twins. I suspect every taxi garage has a guy like that.

Way off track, somewhat. I'd been interviewing for my first job, and the morning before Thanksgiving 1972 I went in to work. The guy said "are you working tomorrow?" I said it was Thanksgiving, I couldn't. He said, "if you don't work tomorrow you don't work today." So I agreed. Anyway, a couple of hours later I called home, I got my FIRST job as an engineer! So I went back to the garage and told the guy there was something wrong with my cab. He said he'd get me another one. I told him, "don't bother. Another thing, I won't be working tomorrow, and I won't be working anymore!" Loved sticking it to him.

Corp of Engineers...he went to an interview with GM...it was his worst interview he says...they asked him did he know what products GM made...and he replied Chryslers...jeeps right? Then the guy notices hubs went to a certain school in New York...the interviewers kids went there ...so he asked did hubs know them...my hubs being a smart guy immediately said yes. Now. he is really tall, folks remember him and it was a small school. The next day, he was informed he had the job. He had been looking for a while...it was 1984 and jobs were still scarce for a newbie right out of college.

....so I switched to Engineering. By the time I graduated there was a surplus of Engineers!

Finding a first job was daunting, I went on dozens of interviews from late June into November 1972. Two things I heard most were "we're looking for someone with experience" and "your education makes you over qualified".

I think sometimes in a specialty field getting one's first job is a matter of being "known", as in his case, or the name of the school, which was my case.

Driving a cab was perfect for job hunting. There was no set schedule, it was first come first serve for cabs. It gave me the morning for job hunting and the afternoon/night for earning some money. It paid roughly $100 a shift, depending upon how hard I worked (I hustled), and about 60% of that was cash tips, which I took home every night. I actually took "pay cut" in my first Engineering job.
