Times are pretty bad when I puruse this forum rather than General Discussion for lighter reading

The sniping between advocates of different candidates can get depressing at times, but least here we are looking toward the future battle with fire in our gut. I am bringing myself to read through and even post some Mueller Report fall out threads on GD, but it is a lot more uplifting to read about the real strengths of our various candidates and all of the enthusiasm they are inspiring!

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Could just be me, but it felt like it was worth, maybe a month ago. It's lightened up a little since.

If nothing else we are discussing how to make the future better beyond the obvious needed step of removing Trump from office.

I always strongly suspect that a lot of the really ugly behavior with Democrats (and allies) attacking each other from various candidate camps is at the very least instigated and fueled by those who bear none of us good will. In the past that turned a lot of potential DU participants off to the point that they no longer had any interest in coming to DU. So now we have a "segregated forum" for these debates so the rest of DU can be a "safe zone." I agree that something is lost in the trade off.

I don't get it personally since I'm the type who never blocks anyone or any topic or any threads. But I accept that not everyone is wired the way I am.

GD is Chicken-Little central. The wailing and gnashing of teeth is deafening.

I detest defeatests and defeatism.
