Andrew Yang: "I agree with proceeding with impeachment - it's the right thing to do. But..."

You can think something will have disastrous consequences while still thinking it's the right thing to do.

Pretty sure his point is the same as it's been the whole time: Candidates should focus on promoting their vision to the voters. Those involved in the impeachment should do their jobs.

He's been saying this for months. It's unfortunate that this is coming back up again. It really affects nothing but as you saw it's something that can be used to stir up a bunch of pointless arguing.

The house will proceed and the Senate will next. The rest of this is sound and fury.

They are already polarized and galvanized. There is nothing that will bring them back to sanity except getting that piece of shit off the stage.

They are driven by hate, anger, racism, bigotry fueled by false information from RW media.

We cant let people like that affect what we should do.

See how well that worked out for Obama.

Republicans ended up completely taking over the country in no time, and are now destroying it.

I'm concerned with the nearly 9 million 2012 Obama voters who voted for Trump in 2016. That's who I care about.

65 million that voted for Clinton - but who lost due to the Electoral College.
The 4.8 million disgruntled Republicans that voted for Johnson/Weld - I grew up with some of those people and they HATE Donald Trump and now live in places like NC, Florida, NV, and Arizona.
I'm concerned about the 1.4 million that voted for Jill Stein.
I'm concerned about the 730K that voted for Evan McMullin
I'm concerned about the 2600 votes cast for Kasich

That's 71 Million active voters in 2016.

Let's win this thing.

Along with many others.

But on this - I agree with him.

I'm a local Democratic Committee member serving a two year duly elected term.

We've flipped our Borough (County Seat), sent Bob Menendez back to DC, Elected Phil Murphy Governor, and re-elected two Assembly members just last month - and flipped the 7th district seat held by GOP for DECADES.

Polarization has been good in the 7th District of NJ.

See - I disagree with Andy on the end result.

The senate NOT voting to Impeach (and I hope they don't) is going to make it a piece of cake to get Tom re-elected. And - Hope the articles of impeachment piss off the guy who called me a "nigger", while wearing a MAGA cap, and told me "this is revenge" the day after the 2016 election.

I hope it makes he and his ilk realize - they are dinosaurs who will be in the shoes I've walked in - for 46 years - in about 15 or 20. I HOPE they are pissed.

And I hope it PISSES off good solid LOYAL Americans next year - pisses them off to vote those fucking bastards out of office.

And I'm glad to see you posting again.

It clarifies the pot-stirring OP posted yesterday which implied that Yang was entirely against impeachment.

I agree with Yang that in addition to protecting the Constitution, we need a more fundamental take home message for the contested states. Younger voters and rural voters are at risk to stay home if the economic messages amount to business as usual, tinkering with tax rates and interest rates, and infrastructure bills that don't meet the level of need. Yang has an outstanding analysis of current economic issues.

I'm still undecided between Warren, Yang, Booker and Sanders, and I appreciate Yang's presence in the race.
