Politico: David Sirota tied to racially inflammatory fake website

David Sirota, who Bernie Sanders announced this week would be joining his campaign as a speechwriter, was hired by the senator for a different job two decades ago — after the aide was fired from a mayoral campaign for his role in a racially inflammatory and fraudulent website.
In a 1999 mayoral race in Philadelphia, Sirota was tied to a fake website apparently intended to scare off white residents from voting for a black opponent. On Friday, the controversial political aide and journalist apologized for his role in the episode.

Read: it's not my fault, really!

He does deserve some credit for the apology, I suppose. That part just stood out to me.

When The Atlantic staff writer Isaac Dovere said "it goes back to 2015," he meant all the evil deeds Sirota performed while working for Sanders during the 2015-2016 general election.

Noting how much Sirota HATES Democrats, does that tell us anything about the agenda or motivation of anyone who would hire him? Does the BS campaign find it to be desirable that Sirota has such contempt for the Democratic party? If so, how would that level of contempt help BS?

What good purpose does it serve Democrats and the Democratic party? How does Sirota's presence and his words and philosophy help to convince voters that Democrats and the Democratic party are preferable to the GOP?

In a 1999 mayoral race in Philadelphia, Sirota was tied to a fake website apparently intended to scare off white residents from voting for a black opponent.
So he's an "apologetic" racist and/or race-baiter (if we can believe him, which I don't... I think he's just "sorry" he got caught).

Personally, I view him as a man who lacks moral character and who also lacks human decency. Are these the qualities that the BS campaign wants to embrace? If so, why?
