(67,782 posts)Reid asked some unfair questions in an attempt to demonize Bloomberg, and Ruhle looked like she was trying to diplomatically put an objective tone on the discussion. Reid went unto that segment with a "mission"

(18,486 posts)Joy Reid asked some very basic questions one would expect be asked about any candidate - and she was actually very gentle - and Ruhle answered everything with "Mike thinks this and Mike thinks that and Team Bloomberg tell me this and also." She wasn't being objective - she exclusively and uncritically presented Bloomberg's opinions and positions as if she was his spokesperson

That said, it's still a blurry line between doing that and being a legit candidate spokesperson.
There is the same blurry line for White House reporters. Their job may be to report exactly the president's statements and positions, but by doing so they sound just like a POTUS campaign surrogate.
