Reid asked some unfair questions in an attempt to demonize Bloomberg, and Ruhle looked like she was trying to diplomatically put an objective tone on the discussion. Reid went unto that segment with a "mission"

Joy Reid asked some very basic questions one would expect be asked about any candidate - and she was actually very gentle - and Ruhle answered everything with "Mike thinks this and Mike thinks that and Team Bloomberg tell me this and also." She wasn't being objective - she exclusively and uncritically presented Bloomberg's opinions and positions as if she was his spokesperson

while serving as Vice-President at Credit Suisse - First Boston for 6 years (Source: Her Wikipedia page) ... These dubious financial instruments nearly plunged the US Economy into another Great Depression ….President Obama rescued the day ...Another derivative bubble is being inflated as we speak ..When does it burst ? ..No one knows …. A Bipartisan Majority. ( I gotta keep it real) foolishly voted to repeal FDR's Glass Stegall Act ….Dodd - Frank has kept the Wall Street madness in check to some degree ...This is an issue where Elizabeth Warren really stands out from the crowd …. It is her passion

...but instead just reporting on his stated stance and that of the Bloomberg campaign.

That said, it's still a blurry line between doing that and being a legit candidate spokesperson.

There is the same blurry line for White House reporters. Their job may be to report exactly the president's statements and positions, but by doing so they sound just like a POTUS campaign surrogate.
